US Orders Its Airlines To Avoid Pakistan Airspace

This is a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issue from FAA, advising all Commercial American Airmen (which is the one that under their jurisdiction) to avoid flying to and from Pakistan due to the MANPAD threat.

This does not just include Airline, leisure flyer, commercial (private plane) or cargo fliers was also included in this NOTAM as they are all Commercial Airmen. So for example, this Notice would be a reminder for Cargo/Freight company operator or Private/Commercial (like Lear Jet Pilot) that MANPAD threat are high in those area.

I am pretty sure DHL and Fedex operate to and from Pakistan, as well as some Private Charter Flight Company.
After the Qassem Suleimani assassination by the US, I think we can safely guess which country has the US worried about supplying man pads to militants to take down American aircraft.

What is Taliban military budget? Panga kar ke dekh lo. The moment real war breaks out and the elite leave on chartered flights to Dubai, then you'll see.
Lol. You think Taliban can actually defeat USA? USA killed a million of Afghans in return for few thousand killed of their own. They'll wipe out entire continent if it came to their security. Don't overestimate yourself. You'll fall flat on your face otherwise.

To all those folks reading tea leaves. This most likely has more to do with what is happening in Iran-US conflict than anything else.

This is why US issued the advisory : https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/breaking-qassem-soleimani-confirmed-dead-by-iraqi-state-media.648119/

When I spotted the headline, the first thing that came to mind was a warning to pilots of any problems with Iran. Since they probably don't fly over Iran, Iraq Afghanistan... but do over Pakistan, this was a regional warning that means they could have planned this attack before this notice. For those looking for clues.

Yes, they did. This was no accident. They hid their true purpose in the other conflicts in the region.

what morons thinks manpads can take on a 40,000M high flying commerical airline. its more than that. perhaps an Air battle is coming to us once again! :yay: indians will try to come again and beat the dust once more time! only in bigger numbers hopefully!:nana:

I've heard 75% of Indian tourism industry has dried out and airlines are squashed. Its time for Paksitan to devastate Indian Aviation Industry by blocking its airspace for India. The Incident of 23-24 September when a civilian Indian plane masked itself as a military plane and entered into Pakistani airspace is a sufficient reason.

You got to treat the enemy as an enemy and why not strike when the iron is hot?

Don't know, not sure, I am not really interested in Military or Political related topic.

I am just saying why US issue this NOTAM and what does it do. That's it

The satanic state of murica and their shameless indian slaves are the enemy of the muslim world. Pakistan should be on high alert all the time when it comes to dealing with the said nations.

Is this even news? Has this not been the case for a few years now? What American air liners fly over Pakistan?
i am pretty sure United does

The reason Pakistan hasn't closed airspace is for the 4 months that it had the airspace closed, Pakistan lost 50 million dollars. Although India lost slightly more, Pakistan's losses were a much bigger portion of its aviation in industry. Considering Pakistan's economy is collapsing, it cannot afford to lose any money like that.

As for tourism, two Indian cities ranked in the list of world's 20 cities with most international arrivals.

For 50 million, if Paksitan can destroy the Indian aviation industry and make millions of Indians jobless (direct employees, indirect service providers and travel agents), that is an inexpensive way to havoc India. Don't you think?

Infect if Indian airlines shut down, the travel business would increase for every other airline including Pakistan and its aviation industry will end up generating additional revenue through direct services.

If Pakistan has not done it, it doesn't mean it cannot afford this action. It has blocked Indian airspace after air violations in Feb 2019 and will do it again when needed. For now, Indians can thank Pakistan for being lenient on them.
