US now estimates Russia has suffered 75,000 casualties in Ukraine

@aziqbal ..

Would that be your suggestion to Pakistan, if India launches a lightening strike and manages to occupy Lahore, or Karachi for some made up bullshit reason like akhand bharat or "whatever" ?

Given the land over, swap it for lives ? Forget about Karachi or Lahore? Would you tell the goverment of pakistan and people of Pakistan to not not have blood on their hands over and give over anything india wants ever to save lives ??? To sue for peace no matter the cost ???

Can you apply your "logic of ukraine" to a similar scenario involving Pakistan-India and come to the same conclusions and suggestions ????
The only issue there is we have strike capability, Ukraine didn't.

. .
70,000 is a BS number.
Unless they are doing some creative accounting.

.
Even if the number is half of the US estimate. It is very high Russian casualty considering the gain. I thought Russia will flatten Ukraine if they resist.

Russians need to look at their military leadership and structure...

.
poor Ukrainians being played by terrorist NATO

Zelensky has blood on this hands for not opening dialogue and peace deal with Russia

swap the land for lives as land can come back lives wont

Americans are saying "we wont give up Donbas"

ok then send your soldiers not your weapons cowards took 9 months to take Fullujah and it was retaken by ISIS in 2 weeks against a defenceless nation

Russia is taking on pretty much entire World and in 156 days took area size of France

go figure
Ah yes the age old appeasement method never works. It didn't during WW1, it didn't with Crimea and it won't work now. They'll always be back for more.
Russia is only facing Ukraine which has some western weapons and funds rights now. Ukraine still doesn't have access to huge arsenal that is the American war machine.
I'm not totally pro-western by any regards but continuing to live in a bubble and denying stuff is childish.

India can never manage to launch a "lightening strike" to occupy Lahore or Karachi.

But anyways Russia had to attack Ukraine. It had no option. It should have attacked in 2014. Ukraine was flirting with the idea of joining NATO. Russia can not afford to have NATO 500 km from Moscow. It as simple as that.

It's also about face. It is humiliation for a Russian speaking country to host American military bases on its border. While Estonia does have American military bases on the Russian border, they are not a Russian speaking country so Russians don't mind.

Russia should have attacked Latvia and Estonia so they could not join NATO. Putin was simply a fool who did nothing but just watch the expansion. Russia could have taken Estonia+Latvia very easily. They combined have a population of just over 3 million and 1/6 of Ukraine in area.

Estonia and Latvia are not threats to Russia. Ukraine is a threat. On top of that, it is a humiliation.

Putin has pretty much doomed his nation noni matter how
you slice it
He made the right choice but should have had a different military objective. Russia should have focused on Donbass, Luhansk province and Mariupol as its objectives from the start. It would have been a succesful war.

Donbas is too heavily fortified to focus on from the start. In order to regain access of water for Crimea, Kherson had to be taken, so they had to divert troops away from Kherson with a feint Kiev offensive.

shoulda woulda coulda

Depends on what you define as a "threat". Estonias border is only 150 km from Saint Petersburg.

Estonia has a small population. Ukraine had more than a third of Russia's population in 1991 when USSR just dissolved. Even now Ukraine still has 29 million people. Takes 10 more years of war to grind that down to less than 20 million.
