Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri has urged Muslims to launch attacks on 'American soil' to lead up to a 'war on its own land'.

In an audio speech released online a day after the twelfth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, al-Zawahiri urged sustained attacks on the U.S. which he said would 'bleed America economically' by forcing the country to spend large amounts on defence.

And he encouraged Muslims to seize any opportunity to land 'a large strike' on the U.S. even if this took years of patience, according to a translation on the U.S. SITE monitoring service.

Our population is so freakish and sensitive to these shootings and at the same time they all get extremely emotional to make it seem as if the crime of the world was committed. Then we have the majority feeling all attention should be given to these victims and they are insensitive to victims of American attacks overseas.

Then if they accuse muslims of this most of the population will want fierce retaliation while not believing in anyone else's retaliation to American attacks.

But, really, when I was in Gaza I witnessed to airstrikes and a drone strike close to me. Also at the border Egypt was detonating controlled explosions against tunnels and I never got emotional about it. All of just stood there as if nothing happened and went back to business.

Our media and system turns our people to desperation in few occasions with little damage and any attack claiming more than a dozen lives can literally turn the population towards the government and can justify action anywhere in the world. As long as the American people support it.
