US-NATO LOOSING CONTROL IN AFGHANISTAN

us & nato would prefer to leave afghanistan before things get ugly, the recent attacks on embassy shows the incompetence of ISAF

meanwhile

Australian troops to leave Afghanistan a year earlier than planned, Prime Minister Julia Gillard says - CBS News

as we can see the end game in afghanistan is approaching, these withdrawls will fasten up with the recent attacks on foreign embassies,

as the isaf forces withdraw their will influence from china, iran & pakistan to control the mineral resources of pakistan, lets see how this spans out.

advantage Iran, china & pakistan, no wonder russia is cosying up with pakistan here.

big difference though taliban is in control of around 80% of afghanistan you were even negotiating with them and karzai is called the mayor of kabul for that very reason and with this attack it shows you are even losing control of what little you had left.NATO spent TRILLIONS on this war and you have NOTHING to show for it sorry but you've failed and that is why u wanna exit quickly.

Makes your failure in your own country even worse.

Taliban control is around 40% to be realistic.

And billions have been spent on this war. Not trillions. One reason of high expenditure is creation of ANA from scratch, which is amazing achievement.

once isaf leaves afgun, all those billion dollar investments will go in a plume of smoke.

want to know the best news its the weakest argument when you say oh yeah well you are too. we are talking about us failing over here in case you didnt get it there is a thread about that attack you can go and talk over there rather then trolling.

anyway i dont know how people can defend and say us has won the war it clearly lost it the taliban are stronger then ever they have an office which i dont get how is it any different from an embassy in qatar and us is continuously trying to bring them to talks even though the taliban are very actively killing and attacking their soldiers the afghan army is also pissed of at us forces and every weak some guy kills a us soldier. the taliban have infiltrated that army too they have no problem in killing high officials of afghanistan. and now this kabul attack shows that the one place where us had complete control was lost too the safe zone kabul and that was held hostage for 20 hours they r losing men and money and no solution has been reached ten years later they only have their soldiers bodies and billions if not trillions lost in a hopeless war to show for ten years no gains....

the fact is that area cannot be controlled the best way was control the taliban. afghanistan has too much animosity any area that is pushtun is supported and controlled by the taliban and even some non pushtun areas and the taliban can move easily in any area of afghanistan.

so far i dont know how us is thought to have won but to me it looks like a very humiliating defeat

Well, they (the Afghans) do have the wireframe of democratic government and all the institutions for a working start.
US also claims they got Osama and Al-Qaida which was the objective.
However you cannot root out tribal mentality, grudges, alliances that have been here for centuries in 10 years.
Also it would be foolish to believe Pakistan stood on the sidelines all this time.
I give it 1 year tops after the foreign troops pull out before it all decays into chaos again.

too much the taliban are so strong with isaf presence over there believe it or not they will have full control when the america leaves its either america talks with taliban and gives them control or they take control forcefully but they seem sure they will get it

It's from February but i doubt it's any less relevant today.

"In the last year there has been unprecedented interest, even from GIRoA [Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan] members, in joining the the insurgent cause. Afghan civilians frequently prefer Taliban governance over GIRoA, usually as a result of government corruption, ethnic bias and lack of connection with local religious and tribal leaders. The effectiveness of Taliban governance allows for increased recruitment rates which, subsequently, bolsters their ability to replace losses."
