Its a good news. But Curious to know about the achievement of these groups!!!!!
This could not be more than a joke, the reason of creation of NSG was India itself, created against India and very soon India will be one of the member passing the resolution's and monitoring the nuke activity all over.
What can I say,its awesome.

India must retain the option to conduct more nuclear tests. Membership of these groups is not worth it if India has to compromise on that.
I believe its a major taboo to test nuclear weapons with or without membership to any of these organization. In most western democracies, there are elements in the government that will scream for sanctions whenever a country like India test nuclear weapons. Its certain that any sovereign country can test a nuclear weapon. But with the composition of the US government today, I doubt US would even be able to develop nuclear weapon if it have none today.
India's not detonated anything over 20kt (Nagaskai sized), they would need addition tests for weaponizable 200kt dial a nukes or thermonukes.
If India detonate anything now, its going to invite more sanctions. I would be surprise that India would be allow to NPT without first agree to and ratify Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty.
