Iraq is struggling to maintain its airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) capability, especially its Chinese-made CH-4 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), according to a US inspector general report released on 6 August to review Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR).

The report cited CJTF-OIR as saying that Iraq had acquired more than 10 CH-4s, but only one was fully mission capable because of maintenance problems.

The Iraqi Ministry of Defence unveiled armed CH-4B variants in October 2015 but did not state how many it had acquired. Jordan also acquired CH-4s but put them up for sale earlier this year for unspecified reasons.

The CH-4 is not the only problematic UAV type in Iraq's inventory. The inspector general report cited CJTF-OIR as saying the fleet of more than 10 US-made Insitu ScanEagle UAVs flew only two sorties between 1 March and 30 June because of a "combination of Iraqi training in the United States, a lapse in maintenance contracts, and problems with signal interference".

that's what happens wen you buy from them they will leave you alone when you need them the most why Iraq's other militants or Syrian's do not have this problem? because they use Iranian drones and weapons and we are there for them to help them and do the maintenance for there Iranian weapons the reality is that we give those weapons to them in most parts for free like we now offered Advance Air defense system to Lebanon for free. Iranian weapons are cheaper when compared to their foreign counterparts and they are more effective in battle field and really and i mean really easy to maintain. i really hope Iraq start buying more Iranian weapons then foreign weapons and see the truth for them themselves.

Read the article fully before commenting and being sales person for iranian weapons. Maintenance is required for everything and without that everything falls apart. The article also mentions American ones that face maintenance issues.
On the point of iran providing weapons mostly free is proof of the fact that iran is interfering in other countries. Why doznt iran feed its poor or help its sanctioned economy instead of providing free weapons to others???
About the weapons claims, i wont even comment...

.
Cheap is expensive :-).
can you say that about any other country weapons? :-), Iraq has the money to buy Chines UCAVs and lets be real here they left them and now only 1 UCAV is fully mission capable, i do not want to say bad thing about Chines as they are better then the others to say the least, but they would be better off buying Shahed-129 i think.

i will not answer you as you are hostile to Iran and what we do, and no matter what i say you already set your mind unfortunately to be hostile to Iran's actions and yes i did read the story and my post was relevant to the article and as i said before Iraq was better of buying Iranian UCAVs or at least Turkish UCAVs.

Am not hostile am being truthful. Frankly why else would sanctions ridden iran give free gifts???
The very fact that u put turkish and irani UCAV on same level shows how grossly uninformed u are or ur just doing propaganda. Without maintenance any UCAV would not be operational, didnt the article mention american ones too? Lolz
Or maybe ur trying to say buy iranian toy drones, ofcourse toys dont require any maintenance..

first of all tell me if its wrong to give a Air defense system to a defenseless Muslim brothers??? what can you do with Air defense system except shutting down enemy fighter jets?, and as i know there was no Iranian weapons in Iraq that was killing civilians and if you think i just compered Iran's UAVs with Turkish ones i do not know what to say anymore just that Iran's UAVs doctrine is different from Turkey's.

and yes US and China left Iraq with there weapons being useless, Iran would never do that we even teach Hezbollah to maintain our weapons, how much do you think Iraq will take for us to teach them less then a year? but they already know how do that.

you already can see them in action in Iraq and Syria against ISIS watch below

because it would benefit billions of dollars for us, Israel uses Lebanese airspace to conduct it's operations.

Is there a real politic decision to donate Iranian SAM missiles to Lebonan? If yes, That might cause serious consequences to both side.

Sure , charity ...

The truth is you finance organizations or proxies , arm them , pay their salaries . Those proxies take orders from the Ayatollah in Iran rather than their own countries.

While the hands that pull the trigger may not be Iranians , those who give the shooting order are the mullahs in Iran.

You tried to play this games with Israel and now try the same tactics in other middle east countries.

Not surprising. They brought what they paid for anyway...

well this time we said we are going to donate Iranian SAM missiles to Lebanon's Army not any group we want to give Lebanon's government advance weapons for free and not Hezbollah or Hamas. so your argument is not valid here in this case.
