This is where I have a problem with Imran Khan. On the one hand he’s talking about foreign interference, and yet here is a foreign lawmaker speaking about our internal affairs.

Regardless if it’s in support or against, you need to maintain one line. Either you are against foreign interference or you’re not.

Sometimes I really don’t understand why Imran Khan shoots himself in the foot. He always does this….that stupid VICE interview he did also didn’t help his image. Look at the clips they used to show PTI voters (old angry men), instead of younger men and women of the new generation.

The west is not his friend….he needs to stop fishing.

IK is doing the right thing. This colonial army works for US and only US has the leverage over this occupying army. Only US can force this establishment to hold elections and pave way for civilian supremacy. There are plenty of sane voices in US administration and there is no harm in asking them to raise voice for people of Pak and democracy.

PDM won't listen to some obscure congressman from California, their bosses' bosses are in CIA and CENTCOM.

IK is doing the right thing. This colonial army works for US and only US has the leverage over this occupying army. Only US can force this establishment to hold elections and pave way for civilian supremacy. There are plenty of sane voices in US administration and there is no harm in asking them to raise voice for people of Pak and democracy.

But for US IK is a persona non grata and not acceptable in PM office. There is no desire on the part of colonial masrers nor willingness to force sepoys to make way for civilian supremacy.

This is the pressure from Pakistanis overseas, who are on the case of their congressmen and senators to sanction pakistani jarnails and PDM to be held accountable.

Look at it another way, if IK rejected the telephone call would he be making friends or enemies? Would the narrative that his anti American get further fueled. I think he cares about pak American expats and wants their support. Politics is a dirty game if your not talking your shooting, so better to talk.

Pakistan have a habit of giving to much importance to US. Why should Pakistan care what US says or wants? I think as a country it should maintain it's independent foreign policy.

Because each country gets revenue by exporting its products to the US...It is easy to talk about avoiding. West, but in reality, it is difficult to completely avoid it...Again, this principle is applicable to all developing nations around the world.
Pakistan's problem is not with its relation with the US but rather the misuse of the relation by their army to get specific benefits to the Army itself than their regular civilian.

IK was an elected PM and he is talking to an elected congressman in the US, and everything is made public.

Hes not making any conspiracy or secret deals with some military officials behind some hidden closed rooms That the public is unaware of like how Bajwa conspired.

In fact this is a great opportunity to build relations with democratic forces outside the country that believe in human rights, the rule of law and the constitution.

Americans have gone through enough civil wars in the past and every American kid is taught in schools about the impact of civil wars and the resulting bloodshed, and how important human rights and liberties are in order to progress as a society.

Unfortunately, pakistanis even the educated ones here lack basic understanding about rule of law because it's never taught in schools despite losing Bangladesh as a result of civil war.

The biggest cancer in Pakistan atm are the military generals, it seems neither they belive in the rule of law, nor they adhere to their constitutional roles, or show concern for human rights. No wonder they're so corrupt, and no one dares question them in the country.

These generals have punished national heros like AQ khan, can you imagine this happening in another country??
