I don't want to comment on who killed Zia however brigadier Ijaz is a controversial figure and a corrupt person. Don't believe every thing he is saying.

Also many people, all thru history, blamed Zia for all the ills in Pakistan, but can an infection actually happen if the bodies immune response is strong.

I remember being told ( like 8 years ago) that "dad know who got Zia killed" & he may someday make a statement to that effect.


Lastly, all the foreign dignitaries ( from the US, were not supposed to be on that plane. Mr Zia insisted that they all travel with him on the trip back. They had traveled to Bahawalpur on their own jets.

In this regard Musharaf looks to be his carbon copy or may be the spread sheet of Musharafs sins is much bigger.

I gota say that it was definately a conspiracy but with the help of mutual collaborations between the external and internal powers . Both are responcible for such an event to take place. Be it the topling of ZAB's GOV or the Milletery Coup in 99 , just name it you will find there reference every where.

I Personally think that talking about these facts now when they are of no use is compleet wastage of time and mental energy, If people in the establishment had cared about it they should have done something at that time and should have done steps to prevent such catastrophic events in the future but ... !

Guys have you read The Case of the Exploding Mangoes by Mohammed Hanif.

I found it quite interesting but the ideas were too whacky for me.

I believe the Major Kayani mentioned in the book is the present COAS.

for those who dont know or think before they say anything, please read the book by Ex British Inteligence Officer, who mentioned long time ago that Zia was assessinated, title of his book is

moreover the equipments in Pak armed forces since last three decade, which helped us defend any aggression by coward enemies, which was most advanced of its time; were gained through the efforts of Zia and his team, he was great planner, he deceived the indian many times through manoeuvring the army on borders which they never imagined could be possible, he used America to strengthen our Armed Forces, unlike Musharaf who is just a tout of west.

finally regarding the crash of Pak1, i know personally an ex-officer whose best mate was flying that plane and he himself was on air to give the clearance before Pak1 take off. he was also questioned and then debriefed which he never told anything about. but he did mentioned that Turkish Intelligence warned Zia about his assassination well before, this whole drama was set up to gather Pak Army high ranks to see M1 Abraham tank trails. and you must have heard of famous Mango crates story, he also told me the same, some of those were gifted by US ambassador, and were all loaded on to C130 without clearance because Zia himself instruct the airport staff to put them in plane, may be because he was taken the guarantee (US citizen) with him.

Zia knew that and that is why he insisted the American Ambassador and his fellow to board his plane, in fact planes for them were already ready on same strip. Zia also insisted Mirza Aslam beg to board on plane too but he had to visit Multan and also his Puma was in Multan base.

i am not sure if MAB was involved in this episode or not but surely that plane was taken down intentionally by some enemies of Pak.

indeed he was a brave and intellignet soldier who strengthen our forces, unlike Musharraf who only know selling his Dear Countrymen!
