ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has assured the all-parties conference that another APC will soon be called on the issue of Balochistan.

But the prime minister made a startling statement when he told the APC that the United States was “playing a double game with Pakistan as we have never given any secret cooperation to the US for drone attacks.”

The issue of Pakistani cooperation on drone attacks was raised by Imran Khan, sources said. Two factions of the JUI, the Jamaat-e-Islami and the Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith of Sajid Mir opposed the Army operation while Imran Khan and Nawaz Sharif took a middle line and asked why the political leadership was not taken into confidence before the operation.

well GoP has always maintained that there is no such agreement. now i dont know y ppl over here have accepted the US version of drone attacks. may be to shy away from the fact that GoP cant stop drones?? or atleast havent got guts to bring them down.
it doesnt matter how corrupt GoP is but i would never trust US more than GoP. i stand by my PM on this.
drone attacks are not helping anyone. those talibans or just for the sake of it Al qaeda ppl have started moving to big cities of pakistan which are safer for them. so wat tomorrow US is gonna bomb our cities?? and finally invade pakistan?? this is not the solution. when our gov and military knows this and have said it many times then y would they support drone attacks??
US is only bluffin. and all of us over here are living in fools paradise that they are bein carried out in coordination with GoP when there is no such proof.

Well if Kiyani didn't take them in confidence , whats the big deal. Obviously they will say NO. No means giving more time to these taliban and they become more strong.
Once when Hameed Mir of Capital talk ask ,Naseerullah Baber,what the solution of this crisis the said " just kill these people ". Thats pashtun way, they will never listen. Nawaz and Imran khan waiting for Taliban to come Islamabad. There eyes not open yet after Lal masjid standoff ?

kill them. agreed. but is drone attacks the rit way? more and more talibans are moving to karachi lahore and other big cities. will that solve the problem or further talibanize pakistan? also gen kiyani has condemned drone attacks saveral times. now lets not tie this knot to Kiyani's throat plz. u r only assumin that gen Kiyani has an agreement with americans and not GoP. but Gen. has not yet taken GoP into confidence. now come on man. wasnt expactin this theory from u

Thats another scenario, may be NATO policy is too empty this belt through fear and move all these people to central of country. What would happened if balance of population in karachi tilt toward pashtun side ?

And what west would achieved if mass migration takes place in FATA belt. Do you see anything in future ?

Not PAF expert BUT have more faith in PAF chief than corrupt leaders or PM or for the matter let it could be president.

Ex Air chief Marshal Tanveer said "PAF have the capability to shoot down drons if govt. ordered them to do so"....Do you believe he was bluffing to nation?

In recent visit to US standing next to obama, did zardari raised this issue or during talks with clinton? No he didn't. All he did was just begged

Agreed....and accd. to recent report over 700 civilans killed compared to 10-15 al-qaeda men.....Why govt. not using the platform of UNO to raise their voice? Is that becasue of thier weatlh in foreign accounts that would cease again

Why not threaten to NATO to cut their supply lines? But our Defence Minister said its an agreement, we can't do that. Do the agreements only applies to PAKISTAN in da world?

Are these helping to fight on terror? a hell NO.....then why govt. is providing mere lip service....and not taking steps or shown will to stop them. Don't you think ACTION speaks louder than words?

im not talkin about PAF here. PAF, if they can do it, requires GoP's approval to carry out any such action. but our gov is not strong enough to give any such order and US is takin full advantage of this weakness. there is no such agreement and US is only bluffin by tellin the world that there is an agreement which exists bw the two countries. also none of the obama administration officials have accepted that there is any such agreement. this news has spread only coz of some planned leaks.
