The US Justice Department is discussing a deal with lawyers for Huawei’s finance chief,
Meng Wanzhou
, that would allow her to return to China from Canada, a person familiar with the matter said.
Negotiations between Meng’s lawyers and the Justice Department picked up after the US presidential election, the person said, but it is still unclear what kind of deal can be struck.
Meng does not think
she did anything wrong
and therefore is reluctant to make admissions that she does not think are true, the person said.

Based on the long despicable history of forced confessions, these white christian kidnappers will try to force a confession out of Meng Wanzhou. Let's hope she defies these kidnappers.

The US lost a lot of goodwill worldwide due to the transparent blackmailing at multiple levels on this issue. Conversely Huawei obtained reluctant support as the wronged underdog , even in the West.
It may not be wise to settle at this stage. They have already won the battle of public perception, only the legal battle is left to be decided.

Biden is not Interested to drag this issue created by Trump. He will release her unconditionally. The most permanently ban her from entering US and Canada.

People have short memories.

On December 10, 1999, Lee was arrested, indicted on 59 counts, and jailed in solitary confinement without bail for 278 days until September 13, 2000, when he accepted a plea bargain from the federal government. Lee was released on time served after the government's case against him could not be proven.[5] He was ultimately charged with only one count of mishandling sensitive documents that did not require pre-trial solitary confinement, while the other 58 counts were dropped.

US had more than 60 FBI agents working on Lee. Yet only manage to charge him with mishandling sensitive documents.

It all about trump up charges and kangaroo court all over again.

Usual U.S. terror regime tactics. When not just exploiting them, they take foreigners hostage or blackmail them, run big slander campaigns against them and the foreign countries they are related to in U.S. regime controlled media, painting them as criminals despite no or doubious evidence of any crime and then force them to make false confessions to some unrelated lesser "wrongdoings" or "mistakes" to be spared from endlesss U.S. regime harrasment, only to use these false confessions to justify their terror campaign.

The "wrongdoings" and "mistakes" often not even a real mistakes, just some technical violation of arbitrarily aplied asspull laws that happend in the U.S. and U.S. proxy cangaroo courts that would never have happend if they wouldnt have been targeted in a political scheme in first place or some or even errors that are fault of U.S. regime employees themself made during immigration processes pinned on the migrant.

You can see SCMP is still staffed by Americans and American puppets. They only keep repeating the slanderous bogus charges against Meng as if this was ever about the charges.

No word about already proven countercharges that the U.S. terror regime fabricated the entire story about her "misleading" anyone or "witholding" information from anyone, such as them tampering with the so called evidence deliberately removing contradicting elements, making up connections where there are none and really just playing dumb about banks not knowing who is tied to who. Or the sillyness of U.S. proxy courts banning the defense to show the untampered central so called evidence in court.

Nevermind even if the charges where true completely disproportionally harrass a Chinese national while American and European banks comitting the exact so called "crime" getting just a few fines or the fact what she is charged for is not even a crime in any sense. She is accussed of not properly following the U.S. terror regimes agenda to terrorize Iran.

Should not negotiate with America. The United States' primary aim is to weaken and destroy China. If the Huawei issue can be resolved on the negotiating table, that would mean that the United States receives a greater benefit than punishing Huawei, and China incurs heavy losses elsewhere.

I am not. Which is why you have dead Aussie soldiers also, killed by the Afghan Taliban. All they could do was murder Afghan civilians. Allah SWT will be the judge of that.
