Yesturday my friend (who is popular Cars dealer in Pakistan already imported Hummers, Caddilac Esclade, Ferrari, Lamborghini yesturday his new car maserati Quattroporte arrived. He send me picture of karachi port where his maserati stand but he also send me very fishy picture huge line of humvi he told me these humvi ready for AFGHANISTAN ...

Hi, stealth, as i know the import duty is very high do you know what is actually happening there.
I have already read the car import regulations and as per my understanding, after paying duty... it is not possible to sell the cars at the prices those are being sold in Pakistan.

This is documentry proof that Pakistan is aiding US valuing billions of dollars in transit.
Where as all fictions of US aid are merely hog wash and no where to see.. it same like in far areas of Pakistan roads are made on paper and money goes into the pocket of officer and contractor.

The reason for a lot of Hummers and Escalades to be imported into Pakistan and sold at a much cheaper price then one would calculate with the duty in place is that these trucks with an open back are cleared under commercial duty.

In this case only those with contact dare to take the risk otherwise one can go bankrupt paying the duties.
I'm sure the custom officers like to work with only few known importers and for others they would not spare any penny.

Brother, no one is accusing your friend of not paying the duty, the trucks ive mentioned are supposed to be cleared under commercial duty.
And whats the big deal with US humvees ? I've seen them loaded on trucks going from one place to another, its quite normal.
Even TTP uses humvees

Never on the way!!¨only when those are parked at border and waiting for clearance from Afghan customs..
Some luxury 4x4 vehicles come from afghanistan and blow up US humvees... and than those vehicles cross back the border conviniently.

This hummer h1 seems to be army jeep.whats the use of them in pakistan.have they been purchased by pak army or going to send to afghanistan?
