US helicopter shot down , 2 killed

Wishful thinking does not tend to materialize. US troops have a higher survival rate in foreign terrority than Pakistan in it's own bad lands.
yes why not!!!
US forces are sheltered by local forces every where they go. like in iraq they were sheltered by iraq N.A in Afghanistan A.N.A so when you are in camp and do not come in bettlefeild then you probably will have less casualties.

Yet, Pakistan has more progress to show for it's casualties. Except NWA, all safe havens of the Taliban have been neutralized, the agencies are under the control of the Political Admin.

Uh yeah whatever you said buddy. The purpose is to train them and work cohesively. Should I start posting pics and videos of when troops are outside the base or camp? All it takes is one video to show they are outside the base and fighting and will refute your claims pretty much immediately.

once in a while they come out of there camps. but most of the times they stay in camps. whenever they go outside they are fully supported by air. i know what is the condition in afghanistan 80% of the afghanistan is still ruled by taliban. why dont they chase them in mountains?? Pakistan army is chasing them in areas like swat where one of the most difficult area for guerilla war because of its green and mountainous area. so it is obvious that pakistan army will have more casualties then americans.

Bro, US conducts most of the military operations in Afghanistan.

And US forces did most of the fighting in Iraq.

Yet, Pakistan has more progress to show for it's casualties. Except NWA, all safe havens of the Taliban have been neutralized, the agencies are under the control of the Political Admin.
Sir,

Their is noticeable difference between the position of US and Pakistan in this war. US have occupied a country while Pakistan is cleaning its own backyard.

what fighting ???
with B-52???
with drones???
bombing cities???
i agree that americans are occupying a country and pakistan is fighting in its backyard but they have better equipments against same type of enemy. Afghan taliban in afghanistan and T.T.p in pakistan Whyl T.T.P is supported by C.I.A with very sophisticated weapons. afghan taliban still fighting with ak-47 and IEDs.

. . . . .
The Taliban is also responsible for the deaths as well as the rest of Afghan deaths when they sheltered Osama Bin Laden. Good call.

Oldman1.....going senile? Losing memory? Talibaan demanded proof from the US as OBL was a guest in their country and according to pashtun culture, a guest is sheltered from his enemies unless he/she is proven to be guilty of a crime. Ofcourse, the US could provide no proof. Moreover, Talibaan agreed to hand over OBL to any other Muslim country, the US rejected this demand as well. Was the US Government being reasonable? They never wanted to be reasonable, 9/11 gave them a perfect excuse to invade Afghanistan.

Talibaan were, never responsible for the casualties and destruction that the US forced inflicted.

Correct, however the fact is that the US forces are facing freedom fighters who are not armed with weapons that can take on the US military while the TTP & BLA terrorists are armed by CIA/RAW with latest weaponry & AR Bullets to penetrate even the BP equipment of the military.

I wonder how high the survival rate of your forces, your Tanks/Armoured Vehicles/APC's & Helos/Drones would be had the Talibaan been armed with ANZA, Baktar Shikan and AP Bullets!

(CNN) -- The United States believes one of its armed helicopters was shot down over Afghanistan on Wednesday, killing both crew members on board, a U.S. military official said.

NATO's International Security Assistance Force issued a statement saying that two ISAF members died "following a helicopter crash in eastern Afghanistan today."

"The cause of the crash is currently under investigation," ISAF said. "... At this time it is too early to speculate on the cause of the incident."

Operational reporting indicates there were no civilian casualties or damage to civilian property, ISAF said.

"It is likely that the helo today was brought down due to enemy small arms and RPG fire," the U.S. military official said. The chopper was a U.S. Army OH-58 Kiowa Warrior reconnaissance helicopter. It went down over Ghazni province.

In an e-mail, the Taliban claimed responsibility for downing the helicopter, saying a rocket was used.

"After the rocket hit it, the helicopter came down and took fire," said the e-mail, sent by Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid.

Compared to what the U.S. went through in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam, Afghanistan is very low intensity conflict.
