Tue Aug 09 2011, 03:28 hrs
New Delhi:
The Indian government has received a second set of documents related to 26/11 attacks from the US authorities.
The NIA, which is probing the role of Lashkar-e-Toiba operative David Headley and Tahawwur Rana, received an audio CD purportedly containing the conversation between Headley and ISI handler Abdur Rehman Pasha.
Home Ministry sources said they would seek a forensic and legal opinion on the proof provided by the US authorities, who have promised the Indian investigators to provide more evidence under the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty .
Sources in NIA said they were not going to seek access to Rana soon.
A Chicago court on July 9 had acquitted Rana of involevment in 26/11 case.
