US Exploring Deal to Limit Pakistan's Nuclear Arsenal

Sorry Amreeekaanzzz... this is one of the thing you can't buy Pakistan.... we are not interested in any dialogue with US on Pakistan's WMD ....

. .
Hum to Hypo-thetical , baat ker rahain hain , ab deal to ho nahi rahi , aek idea float ker rahain hain

.
Why don't I see these officials meeting Indians and telling them anything at all. There is simply no point in even having a discussion with the Americans over our nuclear program. Chinese are building new breed of reactors and we have enough fissile material to continue our minimum creditable deterrence. Its time we expand our missile range beyond India. Than we can talk about restrictions.

Americans see India as a responsible nation with a good track record...Unfortunately for Pakistan after AQ Khan incident American do not view Pakistan as a safe nation to have so many nuclear weapons and also according Americans there is a high possibility that these weapons will fall into the hands of anti-American groups which operate from Pakistan and Islamic world....

I personally do not think this deal will go through because Pakistan will not stop stockpiling its nuclear arsenal because Pakistan sees nuclear weapons as a tactical and offensive weapon rather than a defensive one....

.
Instead, the United States is exploring ways to relax restrictions on nuclear-related technology to Pakistan, perhaps with a long-term goal of allowing the country to join the Nuclear Suppliers Group, which regulates the sale of the technology. That would be largely symbolic ...

Yeah so if they knew it's nothing but symbolic then why bother the hassle?

Will not happen
However,
Would consider , the deal if it was maintain 400-500 Nukes arsenal , and ability to replace 25 per year
Proposal:
  • Reduction in number by 30% in next 20 years
  • Reduction in numbers by 50% in next 30 years
a) In return for 500 Billion liquid cash (DAM / power projects/ metro / hospitals)
b) Free trade agreement with USA
c) Access to NASA missions as an International space partner / share of rocket tech
Invite to Pakistani scientist to work in NASA, quota for scientist and students
Promotion of Civilian cooperation in space

d) 10 Civilian Nuclear plant deal
f) SAM batteries
g) Establishment of an US Aerospace/Engineering University Branch in Pakistan
h) Creation of 1 Major Saline water cleaning project to serve Drinkable water to Pakistan
i) Establishment of world class Medical University , with US cooporation

Return of benefits to US economy
> Pakistan would allocate project to General Electric , GE to redo whole railways in Pakistan
> Establishment of Ford Car plants in Pakistan, cars built in Pakistan would be sold locally
> Funds would be used to construct overhaul Textile industry, PIA and steeles mills
> Train metro in all 10 major cities of Pakistan built by USA companies
> Medical equipment would be bought from USA
> 50 Boeing planes would be bought from USA for PIA
> Purchase of heavy machinery for Industrial level farming again from US imported

If such a deal is in consideration , would cap the Nuclear Arsenal for Pakistan in return for Economic cooperation

* Nukes production over 400 is unnecessary for Pakistan

LOL bro you are writing a fiction, anyway great fun to read!

Sure we can accept the nuclear cap limit........... But only if the US also limits their own nukes down to an equal number of nukes to ours and repurposes all the remaining nukes they have into nuclear fuel for Pakistani reactors.

Ohh please! Save this for domestic consumption only. AQ fiasco is long gone. Whatever he was doing was him alone and through back doors and hence paid the price. And just so you know AQ khan is not even on the list. The discussion is to put a cap on the number of our war heads and limit the range of our strategic missiles to India only.
I too personally think deal will not see the light at the end of the tunnel. Capping the number of nuclear weapons should not be an issue, limiting our range is. Pakistan will accept nothing short of what India was offered if US ever expects the deal to go through why because not Pakistan is in a much better position because of China. We really dont need it anyway.

Oh yes please...AQ fiasco did dented Pakistan's image as a responsible nuclear power whether AQ did it on his personal will or by state's willing that is different...AQ did pay the price for his irresponsible act but so did Pakistan in the international forum....

We are well beyond that and so is the rest of the world. Only India likes to live in the past. Heck even US has moved away from its early position about not offering Pakistan a "Nuclear" deal. Few years back this would not even be part of any US Pakistan dialogue but now its a different story.
Let me say this Pakistan does not really need a deal from the US because we already have one with China which meets our current and future requirements but for the sake of it we are still having this discussion with the US who now seems to be willing. Who knows we might end up getting a better deal than India ever did.

That does not appear to be on the table. Instead, the United States is exploring ways to relax restrictions on nuclear-related technology to Pakistan, perhaps with a long-term goal of allowing the country to join the Nuclear Suppliers Group, which regulates the sale of the technology. That would be largely symbolic: Pakistan manages to import or make what it needs for its nuclear arsenal, and China has already broken ground on a $9.6 billion nuclear power complex in Karachi. Mr. Sharif presided over the ceremony.
That's right. We don't need any deal to get us something we already have.
