NEW DELHI: US climate envoy John Kerry will hold talks with Indian leaders during an Asian tour starting on Thursday in an effort to narrow differences on climate change goals to slow global warming.

However, the US envoy is not scheduled to hold talks with Pakistan, which is one of the most vulnerable countries to climate change.Biden ignored Pakistan at his government’s first summit on climate change to be held on April 22 and 23. The US president has invited 40 heads of state and government, including leaders of India, Bangladesh and Bhutan – from the South Asian region.

According to a White House announcement on Friday, the virtual summit would be addressed by leaders of Russia, China, Argentina, Australia, France, Indonesia, Germany, Israel, Canada, Japan, Italy, Kenya, Mexico, Denmark, Colombia, Congo, Chile, Jamaica and other countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government is facing calls from the United States and Britain to commit India, the world’s third-biggest carbon emitter, to a net-zero emissions target by 2050.

Make sure you guys all listen to uncle Kerry as he lays out his climate change policy for you.

May be they are worried that Imran would use this platform to rake up Kashmir issue. Lately he can't but hijack all such platforms. World is tired of that nonsense. No one bothers about Kashmir anymore.

but the world is not tired of China's "issues" with muslims..

how come?

or is it you don't like being exposed for your folies ?
Russian FM was in India today. He is only coming to discuss Afghanistan.

to make you feel better... after being excluded from every conference.

No Pakistani forgets the Kerry-Lugar bill, the slap the Pakistan got in those tough times. Thank God, this c___ is not coming to Pakistan. We should be vary of mostly one country on this whole planet and thats US. No other country has ridiculed Pakistan like the US, 2008-2012 were definitely the worst times.

.
That's so kind of Kerry to come at this old age - someone should remind these yanks that per capita CO2 emissions of US is 8x more than that of average Indian. Bloody hypocrites.

.
I for once am happy that americans are ignoring us. Would be nice if others ignored us too and stopped meddling in our affairs. Who knows we may develop alot if there is no interference.

.
Lol. They wouldn't have had the Taliban was not provided shelter in Pakistan. Also US has no interest in invading Pakistan and take on what is already a mess.

It is belittling for a country of 220 million that its only value to worlds largest economy is their role in Afghan mess and even in that you don't carry a positive image.
Lolx as usual blame game by andhbhakts.. and india should not be talking about positive image Americans think of you as currylicking scammers 😆
As I remember, CN invited India to RCEP , a CN led bloc, they didnt invite Pak.
Pakistan is connected on the other side RCEP is like eastern china while CPEC is connected to western china

Bhai this will be tough.

How will these people cook food and stay warm ? Despite bhakt rants here in PDF, India is still a desperately poor third world country, with a few pockets of industrial development.

They use anything they find on the streets to light fires, such as plastics (packaging styrene and foams) and industrial waste such as used motor oil, lubricants.

No enforcement exists for this toxic pollution.

Done all over India.....

A rural aburo stove using biomass cakes, fuelwood and trash as cooking fuel. Surveys suggest over 100 million households in India use such stoves (chullahs) every day, 2–3 times a day.

Clean burning fuels and electricity are unavailable in rural parts and small towns of India because of poor rural highways and limited energy generation infrastructure.

This is the cause for pollution in Delhi,

Burning of rice residues after harvest, to quickly prepare the land for wheat planting, around Sangrur, Punjab, India

India emits about 3 gigatonnes (Gt) CO2eq of greenhouse gases each year; about two and a half tons per person. The country emits 7% of global emissions.[30]

I didn't even mention horribly maintained engines with no enforcements on fitness, and of course industrial pollution such as coal power generation emissions.

Pakistan has been successfully planting hundreds of millions of tree saplings every where for years. Every one in environmental organisations knows about it. and the results have been alhamdulliah beautiful
