This is the whole deal.

The contract covers the manufacture and delivery of 15 Lot 12 UH-1Y Venom utility helicopters, 19 Lot 12 AH-1Zs, one Lot 13 UH-1Y, and 21 auxiliary fuel kits for the government of Pakistan. According to the DoD, these initial helicopters will be delivered by the end of August 2018.

The helicopter are to be delivered in August 2018.

But in my assessment Pakistan is not going ahead with the deal.

The source less tweet is from ARY news host who PTI lover and Ahsan Iqbal is the deal broker the birds are most probably from collation support fund and are meant for interior ministry. The first delivery date is August 2018 this is June now.

57.9 million was the payment that has been made not sure it was made by Pakistan or from collation support fund.

You would have to establish beyond reasonable doubt that the individuals involved in giving the contract to the US knew that the US would cancel the contract in the future. That's going to be almost impossible to prove.

The way forward, if you and others no longer want Pakistan to give military contracts to the US, is to get the elected government to pass laws prohibiting the same.

For me this falls into criminal negligence as people involved in deal failed to take risks into account given the previous bright history of defense deals with USA

Yes it is a multipurpose helicopter but if Kazan Helicopter have started their trails in Pakistan the attack version will also be tested. There is no confirmation but Russian helicopter tests are never disclosed in the past as well. This news is from last winter attack helicopters are tested in summers.

And who says Viper are not coming there is no official word on it. There is no contract for placing them in storage by US department of defence. Visit the site of DOD USA and show me any new storage contract.

3 under take internal audit... scrutinise assets of all involved in deal....
See if signs were missed planning wss poor negligence or kickbacks are involved and deal with them accordingly
