If Pakistan will avoid the drone attacks then you must do it by political means. It would be foolish to start a shooting mach with the U.S. If your counterargument is your politicians are not competent to get the U.S. out of your airspace by negotiation. Would you trust them in a war against the U.S. military?

So your point is USA using stealth against you but not against IRAN????then how did Iran shot down the UAV???lols

lol if Pakistan is going to have guys like you who still believe that your army is incapable rather than accepting the fact that they are selling you, even ALLAH cannot save you...:hitwall:

Read my post again. S=$

Drone strike in North Waziristan kills five militants

The strike comes two days after a similar attack killed four militants in North Waziristan.

MIRANSHAH: A second drone strike in two days killed five militants in North Waziristan on Thursday, intelligence officials said, further marking the resumption of the US campaign paused for almost two months.

The suspected US drone fired two missiles at two cars in the Dogga area of North Waziristan tribal region, killing five.

“The missiles hit two cars that were heading towards the border. Several foreigners were in the cars, but we have no information on their nationalities yet,” an intelligence source told Reuters. The source said there might be more casualties.

The strike comes two days after a similar attack killed four militants in North Waziristan, marking the resumption of the unacknowledged US drone campaign, paused after a November 26 Nato cross-border attack that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers. The last drone strike before Tuesday’s was on November 17.

Such attacks have been used increasingly in recent years in the fight against insurgents in Pakistan’s tribal areas.

The Obama administration contends that drone strikes have helped weaken the central leadership of al Qaeda and put associated militant groups on the defensive. Others say the lull since mid-November allowed militants to regroup.

US officials denied the drop-off in attacks was part of a deliberate moratorium on such flights linked to the political and diplomatic uproar over the November air strike.

Officials maintained that strikes were based on the availability of targeting intelligence and suggested that such intelligence had been in short supply recently.

The resumption of drone strikes - can we assume that the meeting in Qatar sorted out the differences between Pakistan Establishment and US ? Now what happens to the Salala incident ?

^ I think the US has used the recent news of F-16s on track to PAF as a carrot.

The Salala incident will quietly be buried and things slowly will be back to where they were before that day.

Too bad, people here were castigating VCheng for his viewpoints for arguing that Pakistan has simply no leverage in the WoT except for the NATO G-locks while the A-locks still continue. Looks like his pragmatic stand has been vindicated.

Drone strikes are neccessary to maintain pressure on these terrorist outfits. They are doing a good job.

Militants killed in Pakistan drone strike

Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- A drone strike in Pakistan's tribal region killed at least eight militants Thursday, Pakistani intelligence officials said.

A suspected U.S. drone fired missiles at two vehicles in North Waziristan, the second attack by unmanned aircraft on militant targets this week following a lull.

Both strikes occurred near Miranshah, a volatile region in the country's tribal belt that borders Afghanistan. The drone on Tuesday fired two missiles at a suspected militant compound.

The slain militants in the Thursday strike were Turkmenistani nationals, the officials said. One of the targeted vehicles was carrying explosives material.

There had been a pause in U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan after a set of controversial American strikes left two dozen Pakistani soldiers dead at two mountainous border posts and further strained relations between the two nations.

Pakistan's military has repeatedly insisted that the airstrikes that killed 24 of its soldiers on November 26 near the Afghan border were deliberate. Its government soon thereafter ordered the American military to vacate an air base used to launch drone strikes.

A U.S. investigation into the attacks blamed poor communication and "inadequate coordination" between both nations for prompting the deadly incident.

But Pakistani officials have argued that well-established operating procedures and an intricate system for operational information sharing were deliberately ignored, which led to the deaths.

The disagreement is thought to have further eroded the already-fragile relations between the United States and Pakistan.

Pakistani Foreign Office spokesman Abdul Basit reiterated Pakistan's position to reporters Thursday that "attacks on Pakistan's sovereignty and the collateral damage caused by drone attacks are unacceptable."
