Well the whole of Pakistan is prostrating themselves in front of the west, you guys helped them invade a muslim country allowed them to use your bases to attack your Muslim brothers. You even get Defense aid from your friend the US. They continually bomb you, and then buy you by giving some money as aid.

India is playing a good game we get what we want, US gave us the civil nuclear deal, and didn't even get to construct a single nuclear plant, instead the deals went to Russia and France. They lifted the Technology denial from ISRO and now India is doing great on its own without need help from the west. The only country that has helped India so far is Russia, the only true friend if any. US is one of those countries that we share a common interest with, and India is not stupid enough to sell itself for military aid and allow foreign troops on its land. If we didn't let Russia operate a base then US is out of the question.

Its doesn't take the US to state the obvious. Not just the US but various other Asian and European states (Korea, Japan, Kazhakstan, France, UK, Russia etc) have lined up to sign nuclear cooperation deals with India, this is because we are a responsible state.
