US declares 'total war' on Islam

They lost in Iraq. Surely they did not intend Iran to have more influence there. They lost in Afghanistan. For a trillion US dollars spent Americans are still getting killed and Taliban still there as well. There economy is in a shambles. It looks as if in death Osama has achieved what he wanted and that was the economic demise of America remember the symbolism of the twin towers and capitalism

Lost in IRAQ?
Lol... They came out after making a peace deal with tribals there...
And i reckon now its more safer than pakistan now...
And fa afghaistan stop supporting haqqani network and taliban.. Insurgency will stop, and naturally people will be allowed to prosper with good scientific education...

Mis-leading title, please change it. Also it's a editorial from PressTV, so should take it all with a grain of salt.

Aryan_B you have been continually told not to post mis-leading titles. The title makes a statement and presents it as a fact. It's an editorial, not a report.

Clearly the fact that mods have taken no action shows that your and your "mates" assertion are incorrect

Dil Ko Behlane Ke Liye Khayal Achha Hai ghalib.

"economic demise of America": It means you dont know about capitalism. slowdown, boom, collapse is cycle of capitalism. You knwo what cycle means (the activity that repeat itself).

The current slow down is not cyclic. We have never had a systemic failure before -the system has failed. This is accepted by western economists.

At least one positive thing about it is that SEGA is going to make a game about it in like a hundred years:

...... or could it be that the Mods themselves are equally biased?

If someone puts up a thread and you believe if its not a source that agrees with your taste - do you think the mods should delete it due to the credibility of the source. Come come VC - There are numerous sources that i don't agree with but the mods allow those threads to be openly discussed on our forum making it such a desirable forum to be on.
If one doesn't agree with the OP - one can either show their distaste by posting or simply not posting but please don't bring into question the mods impartiality. Its not an easy job - to juggle abuse, offensive posts AND show impartiality - it cant be easy at times.

I have yet to see much more than personal attacks and credibility of the source. I have read the article carefully and I can not see anywhere where it is factually incorrect.

The writer clearly chooses to draw an inference that some from the west or supportive of the west do not like but so what?? They seem logical and rational in and stand as evidence the absence of rebuttal

WHy don't you take a break and read about great depression of 30s??? If that overcame, anything can overcome... I am sure you will live at least 20 more year, you an I both will see how Boom will back anytime between now and next 20 years..

And brother Aryan, if this situation won't overcome, get ready of death of billion ppl due to hunger and poverty... So let pray that situation normalize again.

Mate the great depression was not a systemic failure. One was related to trade and one to finance. In any event lets not argue semantics. You will note in the great depression US dollar was not reserve currency.

The only reason America appears to be surviving is that it is able at the moment to print and or create money. But you can not dole IOU's forever no matter who you are

Let us hope so God willing. I joined the forum in June 2011. Its is now nearly 12 months. I put up a number of articles which predicted the demise of the US and US dollar when I first joined. You will find my position is consistent and not changed

All the events on major currencies since June 2011 have shown a marked shift away from the American dollar. China-Russia, China-Japan and numerous others.

There will be a tipping point some time in the future and we will all suffer. This is ironic for me because besides America which will be badly effected the second and third worst effected will be Israel and then UK

What is interesting is how this conflict flows not simply from the differences between the two civilizations, but more importantly from their similarities.

It is said that people who are too much alike cannot easily live together, and the same goes for cultures as well. Both Islam and Christianity are absolutist, monotheistic religions. Both are universal and missionary in nature, having long made it a theological duty to seek out and convert nonbelievers. Both the Jihad and the Crusades are political manifestations of these religious attitudes, and both parallel each other closely.

The most important thing to realize that it is human beings we are talking about, on both 'sides'. One group of people want control over resources another group is sitting on. So the conflict is shaped along ethnic, religious, language and other barriers.

Sometimes religion lends legitimacy to conflicts, too. But they rarely are the cause of conflicts. The real reason why people fight is control over resources.

I don’t buy into the idea of of “Islam vs West.” And therefore this article clutches at straws to try and legitimize a theory that is at best just hyperbole.

Very good mate I agree with much of what you have stated. It is about stealing resources but whether we like it or not it is packaged in such a way that the only inference that can be drawn is one that none of us want to draw that it is a clash of west/Islam.

I mean can you imagine an American leader saying we have to go to war for a big mac?

.
US has some how indirectly declared a war on Islam ,,,, By invading IRAQ and afganistan and killing the innocent people .
but sadly Most of the Muslim countries them self have become a US lobby .

.
I do not see how people identify this as "war on islam".

If it was, wouldn't the first step of US be to evict/deport/persecute all Muslim citizens of US? Wouldn't this step be far easier than invading countries thousands of miles away assuming that US is indeed in a "war on Islam"?

What do we see? Most Muslims live far better in the US compared to their home country. They would rather live in US than go back to their home country.

The war is with radical extremist terrorism, not Islam.

Yep Muslim leaders have been bribed and or bullied into submission and its easier to accept a comfy life style and become a puppet proxy or whatever in this neo colonialism of Pax America than it is to become a hero and do what is best for the people. Which is by the way what the article is pushing at

.
If USA has declared a war on Islam, it is an exercise in futility. Islam is not a political Philosophy, it is the religion of 25% of Humanity and their ranks are growing. The only loser in this battle will be the US and not the 50+ Islamic Nations. For a country that is going bankrupt, it would be suicidal to take on 50+ nations because Al Islam thrives on opposition and gets stronger when under threat.

ISLAM ZINDA HOTA HAI HIR KARBALA KAY BAAD.....
