Nope...We preserved the independence of many countries with our nuclear umbrella. The choice was clear for those who entered our alliance.

Cool.... So Pakistan and Afghanistan eventually won that big cold war for you.
As a bonus so far.... US had already used strategic nukes against Pashtoons and Harp on Pakistan.
Not to mention annoyed OBL didn't received his bonus salary.

Your existing allies are looking for new alliances... in response US is forming new alliances with non allied states just to black mail deflecting allies.

   Sorry...So sorry...You are correct. Pakistan 'won' the Cold War. Western Europe and Asia had nothing to do with it.

Sometimes there are no sufficient words...

Slight oversight on our part. We would like to deliver the bonus check, and it is a good one, to ObL in person.

And no one is forcing them to stay or join.

No one is defending "Mad Kim's" actions. We are just shocked by the method being used to bring about his downfall. Using nukes to liberate NK is like treating an ulcer by cutting off an limb.

.
It's also not in SKs interest to unify with a radioactive waste land of NK

This goes back to the beginning of the Cold War. The role of the military is to win wars and in that mission, all available resources must be included in war plans. Does anyone here really believe that his country have war plans that DOES NOT include the most potent weapon his country have? Is he that naive? Is he that intellectually dishonest?

i'm for one is not supporting this either. wat i'm trying to say is that don't provoke this man!! he will go to any extent to safeguard his iron grip on NK & it's people. you have to work with the people who has the leverage with this man, to bring about the changes. then again sadly there ain't many in the world who he talks to!

No you (and the soviets) started a political environment that polarized the world and cause bloody fratricides over the ideaology. Just because yours won over the Soviets doesn't make it any less responsible for the bloodshed.

Punishing the Korean people for Kimmy J's f' ups is senseless. They have as much choice in that regime as prisoners in a prison.

And China.

. . .
And continued to affect and sustain that political environment that 'polarized the world and cause bloody fratricides over the ideaology.'

How embarrassing it must be to first side with "Communists", and then next borrow money from "Communists".

America sided with China willingly in 1972... and today of its own free will, America continues to buy Chinese goods, and borrow Chinese money. Ironically it then uses this borrowed money, to buy more Chinese goods. The trade deficit continues to rise, year after year.

There is no ideology anymore, only pragmatism.
