CPEC will make profit over time and its not a short term gain venture. Some projects are set up for the good and betterment of the countries and for their people so view it in that light.
Think about it in probably 10 years time Chinese exports will be taking much shorter time to arrive at their destinations and with the proposed oil pipe lines US won't be able to stop flow of oil to the China. While Pakistan own economic zone goods and materials can be transported easily and common man of Pakistan can travel from A to B much easily. There are plenty of bumpy roads ahead of us but with the good will between both countries it will eventually be over come.

When you take a loan it has to be paid within a duration. your timeline does not mesh with the terms of the CPEC loans

Pipelines are further down the line, then why oil city is being planned and build? So do you think those motorways are being build to have safari parks for the people to visit if it was not a route for Chinese exports into the Africa and the middle East? 2030 is not the end of the CPEC phases, there are further plans exist into other spheres to be completed and those are not just paper plans. Saudi on/off oil refinery have got reasons behind it.

You are telling me all that billions of money are being invested for projects 10 years down the pipeline. You make it sound like Pakistan does not have any pressing needs (hard to believe)

Pakistan is not going to generate the economic output to pay off the CPEC loans. The only question is how much losses are the Chinese going to take.
Putting the full burden on the Pakistani public will ruin relationship between Pakistan and China
