In a way these stripped down orders have helped the domestic industry... Just look at the above example...

Not necessarily, because those examples are for diverted offsets, not for similar equipment that we could get, if we comply to US terms, or would be a NATO partner. It's good that we got them so far to accept, that we can't sign CISOMA and that we replace at least some parts with Indian stuff (com systems for example), to improve our operational requirements, but we can't customize US aircrafts like we can do it with Russian, European or Brazilian once.
The next step is to get them to divert useful ToT for proper licence productions in India!
