US: China's sea claims exceed what treaty permits

When I first saw the map of China's claim on South China Sea, I could not stop laughing. These Chinese are really incredible.:D

You felt only funny, but people of small countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines not only felt it funny but also angry because the affronts and the annoyances that it brings.
It seems that Chinese think only she was there alone and not exist any ASEAN countries surrounding the SCS.
The greedy claims of China in SCS is threatening peace in the region.

China's claim "nine-dashed line" in south china sea:

Hey china why stop here why claim the whole world then?

That's preposterous. We only want what is ours in the first place. Indeed, it is illegal for the Philippines to claim any of the islands since the borders of the Philippines are written in your constitution and do not include those islands.

The Chinese "claim" SCS because they saw it first?

This is some rock at Scarborough Shoal, it is not the island. What did the ancestors of the Chinese do on it to establish sovereignty?

really what you a filipino now? you wanna play that sure no problem and what constitution are you talking about? we have a lot of them written from 1899to 1989 freedom constitution so which of them

ARTICLE I (From the current constitution)
NATIONAL TERRITORY

The national territory comprises the Philippine archipelago, with all the islands and waters embraced therein, and all other territories over which the Philippines has sovereignty or jurisdiction, consisting of its terrestrial, fluvial and aerial domains, including its territorial sea, the seabed, the subsoil, the insular shelves, and other submarine areas. The waters around, between, and connecting the islands of the archipelago, regardless of their breadth and dimensions, form part of the internal waters of the Philippines. It also adds that Philippines adopts all International agreements before and after its founding but that not important so our constitution supports UNCLOS which gives us rights and obligations to the areas your country is claiming and EEZ that we are only allow to befit from which also what you claiming.

SO what the hell do you know about the constitution of the Philippines your people are nothing more than a criminal mafia run government nothing more your claims and your threats are both illogical and stupid not to mention uncivilized so don't dare talk to me about my constitution! and other thing Mr chinaman from chinastand Don't you dare point at our constitution again if you have balls go to the UN like a real Civilized country!

Taiwan is easy to talk to regarding those claims. They are not the ones sending 'civilian' fishing boats all over other countries' territories to dredge all the fishes and taking corals. How often does the headline 'Taiwanese fishermen detained by so-so country for illegal fishing' appear in world news?

I agree with you. Actually, I have showed these types of map to some of my friends including some foreigner friends, all of them laughed a lot after watching the map for the first time and only reaction was,"Chinese have gone crazy."

Apart from this, the logic behind Chinese claims on certain territory also seems funny and hilarious,"China ruled that territory in 500BC-400BC then that territory is the integral part of PRC, oh China also ruled over that territory from 1100AD-1150AD, means that territory is defacto part of PRC.":rofl:

I think ROC claims whole of Mongolia as the part of Republic of China. :girl_wacko:

The US refused to sign UNCLOS because it would jeopardize their claims against Canadian territory like Machias Sea Island and North Rock, as well navigational rights through the Northwest passage, which will become a very important shipping route soon.

Of course, the US is no stranger to hypocrisy so I don't expect it to stop badgering China, even though it should GTFO out of principle. The US is delaying the fate of a bunch of <90 IQ monkey states whose collective destiny is to have their faces kicked in by China.

but looking at the flow of the tides,it seems "a bunch of <90 IQ monkey states whose collective destiny is to have their faces kicked in by China" already kicked out China from SCS..only solution China has now is either forget SCS or declare war..

The US is considering to sign UNCLOS.
The big question that why has China signed, the Chinese Parliament has ratified, but their actions go against the treaty?

BTW: What is next your swanky high IQ? Megatons?

What China should do is (1)prove that she owns Scarborough shoal or (2)declare war to her neighbors and land grab every
territories she wants. Or (3)China recognizes UNCLOS and abandon her 9-dash claim.

Option 1 is no good. China can't find her historical map. Can't prove her sovereignty over SCS.

Option 2 is no good. US is watching. China will be beaten black and blue. Plus China is a big fat coward.

Option 3 is good. China's most sensible thing to do.
