US can't attack Iran, and Israel probably can't handle the response: Slate

Look, Iran could blow up all of its ships, submarines, planes, air defences and throw away all of our anti-ship missiles and mines. America still wouldn't dare fight us.

We have thousands of missiles capable of blowing up Saudi, Emirate, Kuwait, Iraqi, And Qatari oil and gas fields. That will take a minimum of 5 years to fix, during which, the world economy will grind to a hault.

So Israel attacks Qom and Natanz and Irans response will be to attack Saudi, Emirate, Kuwait, Iraqi, And Qatari you dont se anything slightly wrong with this plan.

Put down the Qods hand book and try listeningto Hussein with an open mind.

i've seen those fanatic extremist christians mullahs of chruches too "smile"

No doubt extremism exists in Christianity as well. It generally shows itself in groups that have a more legalistic view.

as far as professional muslim armies are concerned i never heard them saying they're going to heaven for 70 wifes i guess you guys are the ones with obsession of "heavenly wifes"

Martyrdom teachings in Iran permeate Society. it's glories are taught beginning in grade school.

oceanx..us supplied it in first place could have been their plan we all say we don't think us would have used it but than we say Saddam used is that a wrong judgment..there has been no proper investigation in that matter all dodgy by the west so i say i clear Saddam in this case i don't think so Saddam used it but my thinking us in involved..people are free to agree or disagree...

Again there are speculations that it was us to ask Saddam to invade Kuwait but these are just speculations than again could be true..but i cannot accept what west says..

Now even the oft-belittled Wikipedia has this to say about the ojectivity of this "MEMRITV":

"The Middle East Media Research Institute, or MEMRI for short, is a Middle Eastern press monitoring organization. Its headquarter is located in Washington, DC, with branch offices in Jerusalem, Berlin, London, Rome, Shanghai, Baghdad, and Tokyo. MEMRI was co-founded in 1998 by Yigal Carmon, a former colonel in Israeli military intelligence, and another Israeli Meyrav Wurmser. It provides a free source of English language translations of material published in Arabic and Persian script, and publishes its analyses and in-depth reports on its website.

The organization's translations are regularly quoted by major international newspapers, and its work has generated strong criticism and praise. Several critics have accused MEMRI of selectivity stating that it consistently picks for translation and dissemination the most extreme views from Arabic and Persian media, which portray the Arab and Muslim world in a negative light, while ignoring moderate views that are often found in the same media outlets. ... Thomas...did you go to Iran school? or your the educationalist in iran or education minister lol again always from the point of view of west..funny..

talk about biblical jihad and martyrdom taught regularly in all christian churches :)!

"Put the inhabitants to the slaughter without giving any quarter and burn their town down." Deut. 13:15

martyrdom>>>Revelation 6:9 And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

Funny on the other thread you were talking as if Iran "helped" with the overthrow of Saddam and the "pacification" of Iraq (ahem, we all know you did, but taking credit is still "unseemly" IMO)

And how ironic now you are talking as if Iran wants to repeat what Saddam did to his fellow Arabs ...

I did not take credit. Iran did help America in 2001 and 2003, this is has been backed up by American politicians.

I know you don't mean it like that. But how do you think such talk of "scorched earth" and "taking everyone down" sound to your (potential) allies in the neighbourhood - at this very juncture?

How would they be our "allies" if they attacked us? Point is, if we are attacked, we have the ability to kick them where it hurts.

If Israel attacks, it is going to have to go over Saudi air space. I did not say that that is what we would do, i said we have the ability to do so.

If we are attacked, we will stop the flow of oil out of the Persian Gulf.

I don't know if the Chicom cencors are cencoring part of my posts, but i said it in the context of "If they attack us.. we have the capability to blow up their own fields"

Now the Chicom censors want to know who "they" are? Are you saying the Arabs are going to attack you without a causus belli?

Back up with evidence please.

Better tell me fast before they send me to a Gulag ... without internet

cheshm tang, allowing their soil and air to be used by America and Israel is enough of justification.

The flow of oil out of the Persian Gulf will be stopped, we will either prevent tankers from getting through the Gulf of Hormuz, or we will blow of oil fields, one or the other.

Cheshm tang? :smitten:.

Definitely expanding my farsi/dari vocabulary now. :azn:

Anyways, I am aware that the Saudis alledgedly hold certain "misgivings" about Iran and her undertakings. But threatening them is the wrong tact, "friend".

Just the "Cheshm tang"'s 2 cents ...

You're welcome, FYI, it is not a racist term.
