I think the US is correct, I've also long suspected Pakistani ties to militants and ISI connection..... Pakistan should cut ties with extremists....

It should, but then it would lose influence over such militant groups and other elements such as CIA, Mi6, KHAD, RAW , MOSSAD, GRU and pretty much every intelligence agency with a stake in the region would step in.

So all Pakistan is doing is keeping up with its peers.
