US BASES IN PAKISTAN: TOP POLITICAL, MILITARY BRASS TO SIT TOGETHER ON JULY 01

.
I don't think the US needs bases just arm PAF with drones and modern F16s. PAF can take care of anyone that steps out of line in Afghanistan. Simple.
This is what Pakistan would want however the question is that can Biden administration trust Pakistan to do exactly what US wants in Afghanistan?

softning of stance from absolute not to maybe to hell yeah
Better to get the entire political leadership on board. If the 3 largest political parties, PTI, PMLN and PPP, clearly state in Parliament that they are all opposed to giving the US military bases, it takes pressure off the PTI and makes it easier for the GoP to hold the line, much like what happened when Parliament rejected Pakistani troops being deployed to assist in the Saudi-Emirati war in Yemen.

That proposal is not new and has repeatedly been shot down by the US.

As were proposals going back to the Musharraf years about changing the US-Pakistan relationship to one on long term economic, trade and cultural ties instead of short term military aid based ties revolving around conflict of some kind.

The US has always wanted a 'hired gun' relationship with Pakistan, but has whined and cried when the hired gun behaves like a hired gun and does the minimum necessary whilst making sure its own long term interests are not damaged.

It's the decision of sitting government . Parliament can't enforce anything on it..why consulting opposition for ? IK has clearly said No..if he has changed the decision he should openly admit it

.
this is a perfect time to ask for F35, drones, and F16 block 70s gurabteeing that pakistan will peovide air cover to afghans ..
This way Indian camps in Afghanistan can be targeted too

no, it is some advisor's 'cunning' idea to expose opposition's foreign leanings in front of the people

The US wants to discourage the Taliban or other elements in Afghanistan from causing any mischief outside Afghanistan. That is it, I think this is aligned with Pakistan's long term goal as well.

'hired gun' relationship with Pakistan

I wasn't suggesting a 'hired gun' see above.

LOL America is too greedy and your opinion makers have for decades turned Pakistan into a monster. India controls your Pakistan policy and narrative. Your country is unwilling to provide choppers and you are suggesting that PAF should be armed with F-16s and drones. No logic whatsoever.

The truth is that the US won't even provide a needle to Pakistan. Your deep state is paranoid about Pakistan.

.
This is quite misleading. The top brass isnt coming together to make a decision. They are keeping the insignificant morons in the loop in the event of a potential fallout which will hurt Pakistan really badly. Every political party needs to be on the same stage if and when that happens. The likes of PPP and N can't make a decision about Pakistan's National Interests. They are sell outs.

pakistan didn’t get american game early on
afghanistan was always in pakistani pocket whtever whomever say
mushi could have joined coalition
get 20 billion a year in different aid programs
for supplies he could have asked americans for new railways
he sold us really cheap
we became hired gun but that too for pennies

.
Put it to Parliment - they get to say no and if so - then tell the Americans to respect democracy !!!!
