What's new

US B-52 flying over Kandahar

Dont worry about these guys, it's their little corner of the world they come to escape reality and have their little circle jerks about how important they are.

Since when is a 1950s heavy long range B52 a stealth bomber?

We are in a whole new century brother, in case you missed it.

The reality is Diego Garcia or Qatar, it probably flew through Pakistan airspace, with or without pakistans permission doesnt really matter. Does anyone really think 🇺🇸 needs permission, or for that fact of the matter, what is pakistan gonna or can do about it?

Nothing.
Idk man, let suppose if this is the case, you don’t need a high tech SAM to take down 1960s plane. Now if US isn’t ready to escalate conflict after receiving Iranian IRBM than I doubt it will do thing for Ghani govt, specially after leaving a full set airbase their.

.
Seems like you were partially right but that won't stop the Taliban from taking Kabul. US still has a month to leave afghanistan completely and this is just a short time drama to make ghani government think US didn't left or abandoned them in chaos. In the long run , specially when Taliban will establish their government such air strikes are not viable.

They flew from Qatar base. None of them used pakistani air space.
bhai ap drones ki baat kerty thy ab B52 kahan se ghus gya afghanistan main ?
Absolutely agree with you.. there will be US airpower and convert power in Afghanistan to keep a check on Taliban.. there is one thing to fight a guerilla but governing needs different approach. A complete victory and return to power for Taliban will put them into the same position as Ghani is now... Confined to cities and easy targets for birds of prey. We all shaw the prequel to this story with ISIS in Raqqa and Mosul
some people here were thinking USA will just go but we all know CIA will not go this easy . they will have always a station in ANA area and a drone base in centeral asia or inside afghanistan with an air stip like smasi .

.
don't get to comfy with this "Islamic independent" news source. a video with a baby crying in the background and not showing the surroundings, nor is it showing the damage...sounds pretty suspiciously convenient.

. .
So they were beamed up to Kandahar and the Iranians were sleeping. Joke aside would love to know the route they took, might be the CAS nations with a Russian nod!
They can beam from anywhere, have you forgotten how Russians offered US bases? How do we know it was not from Iran? Did anyone ever thought in their right mind that Russians would offer bases? So if your intentions were indeed to find the route than you wouldnt be so damn quick to show a map of Pakistan therefore implying that it was our airspace that must have been used. You have no evidence to support that claim but you made it anyway since you are desperate. What you lot fail to realize is that your attempts to marganlize this government actually hurts Pakistan in the process. Politicans come and go, Khan will too but at least he took a firm stand unlike all the previous lot including so called sher who is hiding in london. These creatures have bent over for far far less and this by the way is on record.

.
B52 can enter as they can fly a long distance but drones cannot. Drones require a nearby base.
really sir ? but your point was no bordering country will allow drones to overfly and enter afghanistan . B52 is 100 time bigger and dangerous then drone . B52 CAN FLY 14500KM RANGE .
btw here are good ranged drone of USAF
RQ4B can fly 22,780 km

Well that B52 flew from Qatar. I doubt any drone is capable of reaching Afghanistan through Qatar. If their drones can fly that long then why they needed a shamsi air base from Pakistan in the Balochistan province.

how can you say so sir ? b52 can fly 14500km and RQ4B global can fly 22400km USA can send RQ4 from usa to bomb afghanistan  bhai it can fly 30 hours with reaching an altitude of 58,600 feet

Oh Bhai konsa sasta Nasha kerta hai likhne se pehle thori research tou kiya karo . Red label peeta hai ya kupi ?
RQ4 or RQ4B are surveillance and recconossaince drones not attack drones which can carry missiles and bombs. No US attack drone can fly that much distance.

That's clearly the violation of the agreement from US side.
It's time to butcher the remaining US soldiers and contractors in afghanistan.

That will also make US suffer mark my words. As the US didn't honor their agreement the Taliban will return them the favor by targeting US targets in the region or internationally by again partnering with organisations like AlQaeda. They can again do something like 9/11 and trust me US learnt the lesson quite good this time they won't dare to invade afghanistan again.
You have unrealistic expectations from Afghan Taliban and the sort. In no way or form, Afghan Taliban can afford to do all that. Al-Qaeda Network is a mere shadow of its former-self as well (goos thing). ISIS of the Middle East was a much bigger movement than Afghan Taliban and attempted to do all that but where it is now? USAF took good care of it across Iraq and Syria (i.e. Operation Inherent Resolve). No militia can exchange blows with a military superpower on a broader level and last long.

Afghan Taliban's success on the ground is contingent upon Foreign goodwill. Let us see.

1. Unconditional support of Pakistan made it possible for Afghan Taliban to takeover much of Afghanistan back in 1996. Even in this situation, Afghan Taliban could not secure entire country and Northern Alliance emerged with support of Russia, Iran and India to make sure that Afghan Taliban will not be able to do so.

2. When Ahmed Shah Masood was assassinated and 9/11 happened, USA (Bush administration) responded by toppling Afghan Taliban-led government and routing Al-Qaeda Network from Tora Bora. Many individuals of these two groups were caught and killed inside Pakistan as well.

3. Since Pakistan was providing access of Afghanistan to USA, Pakistan was in the position to negotiate with USA and save Afghan Taliban. There must be a reason as to why USA never declared Afghan Taliban a terrorist organization. The door for negotiations between USA and Afghan Taliban was kept open and this option was tapped by Obama administration because Barak Obama wanted to withdraw a large number of American troops from Afghanistan and Iraq respectively (his campaign promise).

4. Trump administration revived talks with Afghan Taliban with support of Pakistan, and struck a deal with the latter group; for reference.

This deal is not instrument of surrender but conditional withdrawal.

Afghan Taliban could not defeat US-led forces in the battlefield; this is/was unrealistic expectation from the former group. On the flipside, it is 'expensive' for USA to keep troops in Afghanistan for indefinite period with its own funds. Logistics lines are very long and no country bordering Afghanistan is willing to shoulder the burden of maintaining them for indefinite period (understandable). USA have no choice but to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan therefore.

With American troops out of the way, Afghan Taliban felt that they could win on the ground while the Intra-Afghan Dialogue continues in Doha just for show? What if USA does not accept this endgame?

USA can continue to penalize and/or punish Afghan Taliban from a distance for 'perceived violations' (up to Biden administration to make this call). These strikes are but a reminder of this reality.

As I pointed out above, Afghan Taliban's success on the ground is contingent upon Foreign goodwill.

Multiple countries are expecting the Intra-Afghan Dialogue to continue and succeed. Latest updates in relation.

Afghan Taliban should commit to 'political solution' for Afghanistan and avoid repeating mistakes of the past. There might be a long list of surprises awaiting them down the road otherwise.

Once again, Afghan Taliban's success on the ground is contingent upon Foreign goodwill.

Afghan Taliban have God-given opportunity to change for the better and strive for lasting peace in the region. Let us see.

Once in Power, funding is not going to be a problem for Taliban, there are many reasons to it, will explain them thoroughly some another time.
S-400 system will not make much difference in Afghanistan. B-52 bomber is a modernized war-machine in its current form. A single B-52 can unleash a volley of standoff munitions on an S-400 system from afar to take it out if necessary.

The US has come to salvage the crumbling Govt of Afghanistan with BRUTE force again. The recent heavy bombings in Kandahar and Helmand province has halted the Taliban blitzkrieg momentarily. In Kandahar the Taliban are virtually standing at its gates. If these bombings continue Taliban might have to rethink their strategy towards the major cities.

The nearest base these bombers operate is Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean, some 3000 miles away.

Obviously the Iranians and CAS countries wont allow them, this begs the question which airspace they used.

I repeat, this is only Operation Allies Refuge.
