US asks Pakistan to seek NSG’s acceptance, not individual endorsements

this smart a** didn't realize that he actually declare China as Super power....

It's just that you are not smart a** enough :P . USSR and USA are Nuclear powers so resulting war could lead MAD.

PS: Try to refrain from using abuse word. I can come up with many abusive words with *** in them. :D

No, the USA and USSR never had a direct fight.

However China did have direct warfare with BOTH the USA and the USSR during the Cold War. During the Korean War we fought against the USA + 16 of her allies combined (pushing them into the longest retreat in US military history), and we later fought with the USSR multiple times during the Sino-Soviet split.

The reason is because we were weak during the Cold War, that's when direct fights happen. Nowadays we are too strong to fight directly, so there is no more open war.

The indirect fights are what you see here in the topic of the thread. The USA is using India against China again (just like in 1962 when Nehru was counting on American help), the difference is this time we have veto power, so less need for actual fighting.

Yep, I agree. China gave a humiliating defeat to USA in that battle. Without China sacrifice, there could be no North Korea now.

PS: China sacrificed a lot for North Korean leaders who are a bunch of bastards.

Well China intervened in the Korean War because we were treaty-bound to do so, and it served our national interests (we needed a buffer zone against UN forces at the time). In fact we repeatedly warned North Korea not to attack South Korea, and they completely ignored us.

So I don't think the North Korea owes us anything, we intervened for our own interests. And the NK leadership (Fat Kims) are insane anyway, so it wouldn't matter even if they did.

Pakistani FO failed, Nawaz as Foreign Minister of Pakistan never paid attention to NSG. Seems Nawaz is least interested or keeping Modi happy. Now at crucial moment he went to heart surgery and he will COME BACK AFTER JUNE 23 from UK ....watch and see.....

There are plenty of Indian women doing the same. Coming in on student/ research visas and waiting 9 months.

Just because CNN decides to highlight the Chinese women doesn't mean it isnt happening from Indian women either...

Stick to the topic.
Didnt I say the same is applicable for all south east asian? However the scale on Chinese effort dwarfs the others- ppl come on tourist visa on the last month of pregnancy and stay at chinese appartment complexes- till t
The context of response was to clarify that it would be a long time before China or any other country can match the US - such that the lure of a us citizenship is no longer valid

Well, US has made it crystal clear to Pakistan that it is not backing the latter on NSG issue. Good luck Pakistan.
From what I can see and I cerainly don't know sufficiently about NSG rules to make a definitive comment, however it would appear India and Pakistan are both in the same "waiting room". China will not back India and US will not back Pakistan. The result is both are stuck.

And I doubt Chinese are going to let India in if US does not let Pakistan in. Both hold the keys for each respective country. Result lockdown for both.

Not really, you just don't wake up one fine morning, apply and expect the rest of the nation's to sign...just because you applied for it.

The only commonality is that both are non NPT.

Pakistani application for it was on May end..India's NSG case is a year old. Countries don't accept membership on a whim.

Also, India has a NSG waiver and a natural progression of that is a membership - either today or tomorrow. India also has bilateral supply agreements from most nuke material and tech producing nations - the US, Canada, Australia, Russia etc..

Proliferation is also another sore point..

So no..Both nations aren't in the same waiting room.
