Actually we know our Aukat so we do not go for competing Pakistan? Our primary concerns are within India then we go for Muslim or whatever brotherhood.

The topic is about helping Afghanistan and, as indicated, India is doing less than its share. With 7x Pakistan's resources, India is only putting in 4x the money. And this is not even counting Pakistan's support for Afghan refugees in Pakistan.

Indian literacy rate is 66% and youth literacy rate is 82% within India which is far beyond then that of Pakistan which is in 50s still. I was talking about the high end education like engg. In Indian engg colleges seats are vacant in engg colleges with no one to take admission.... in NCR and delhi region. I think we have the highest no of engg colleges then anywhere.

America claims to have 99% literacy rates yet its bible belt states are fooled into voting for the republicans and made to think Sarah Palin being a messiah and Jesus speaks to her.

Are we talking history here. We find Afghanistan in our interest today so we are investing over there. There are always equations of profit and loss. we have the better infrastructure for education for foreign students within India with some of the world class universities which have very high rankings. No one is comparing them with that of Pakistan. Did I say no one is studying in pakistan.

The only ''foreigners'' that go to Indian universities are actually poor Africans and Bengalis who can't afford to go elsewhere.

Don't mean to discredit indian education, which is pretty good for their rupees worth. however, there's nothing ''world class'' about Indian universities. Last time I checked, not even a single Indian university makes it to the top 50 in any category.

The only problem is the baised education which Pakistan education system offers on hating India and history where a majority of the sections of history has been chopped off.

And you're still spouting out this rubbish after having admitted to not reading a single Pakistani textbook earlier. Didn't they teach you not to judge a book by its cover and a-s-s-u-m-e things in primary school?

When someone jumps to give a verdict about something without knowing the details he/she is either naive or a fool.


The books for Afghanistan schools are published, printed, here in Pakistan or to be more to the point here in NWFP. These books are not written by us.

Rather the text provided by Western countries' infulential NGOs working in Afghanistan.

So well yeh in a way these books are full of Western biase against Islam and Pashtoon, Afghan, Pakistan culture.

And OH BTW i forgot to mention. PAKISTANI Currency is being used in Afghanistan for trade within the country.

Finally you learnt something good for you. Check the Unesco defination of literacy rate. The literacy rate is based on that and in Pakistan it is still in 50s and I dont think Unesco is also run by Indian stooges and biased body.

I don't think the US will call India to close it's consulates in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is a friend of India and the Karzai govt. is in favour of Indian help in training the Afghan police and Army.
Pakistan is trying to prevent India's growing clout in Afghanistan. I think most Afghans (non Taliban) distrust Pakistan and consider it an enemy. Therefore the enemy of their enemy is a natural friend. If Pakistan stops support to Taliban then maybe it can regain some trust in Afghanistan

Indian school syllabus is fair and acknowledges the contribution of Muslims in developing India. In fact the story of North India for over 600 years is all about the Delhi rulers. Akbar, Shah Jehan are considered great rulers in India and they are portrayed as just and secular. Just see the movie "Jodha Akbar" where Akbar is portrayed as a hero who is wise and noble and is concerned about the masses (Hindu or Muslim).

Concerning the bad image of Muslims in India these days - I would say that the religion based politics started by the Congress and many riots and terrorist attacks have created some hate within India. The Babri masjid demolition, Shah Bano case etc in late 80s and early 90s coupled with Kashmiri terrorism has dominated headlines in the news here. Slowly the tide is turning - Kashmir is quiet, Governments and parties are more responsible - the focus in elections and for the people has changed to development - creating jobs, building roads etc. Religion, caste based politics is on the way out in India. Pakistan bashing is not popular these days as it was earlier. The problem lies within India - our poverty, our lack of roads and infrastructure. Pakistan too should focus on problems within instead of looking at Afghanistan etc. The time for fighting over petty issues is over. we need to create better lives for our people. And try to work for friendship and peace.

Literacy rate as Write and read so there are 99.999999999% people in Pakistan can do this as they all read holy koran and who read the koran can easily read and writes urdu.
