My haha reaction was truly for something haha.
Well your username and profile pic is enough to tell how much beef you have with Pakistanis.

. .
War is a political statement and equipment are ancillary. USSR with 5000 plus nucear warheads and 2 million Army could not save powerful USSR Empire.
Pak Generals who at best are retards don't have a political statement except to serve gora power.
They kick out and murder political leadership in connivance with judiciary and have relegated the country to a client state and mercenary regiment.
Nobody has trust in the country and if EU and USA open visa lottery every Pakistani will be lining up outside embassies.

F-16s or J-10s, or nukes, they cannot keep country intact once people are relegated to shudra status by army leadership.

one day chayna is gonna stomp its feet and tell Pakistan off. Pakistan will remember that day for a long time to come.

Not sure what the hullabaloo is about this sale. From what i can tell, this purchase is basically to provide maintenance and general upkeep for the PAF F-16. PAF still needs to replace ~60 Mirage III, ~69 Mirage V, and 53 F-7PG. SO unless people who getting their panties in a bunch also want to start the replacement of 75 F-16 im not exactly sure what they want Pakistan to do with this deal.

US Approves Possible Sale Of F-16 Equipment To Pakistan: Pentagon

The US State Department has approved the potential sale of F-16 aircraft sustainment and related equipment to Pakistan in a deal valued at up to $450 million, the Pentagon said on Wednesday.

The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin Corp(LMT.N), the Pentagon said.

The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Pakistan of F-16 Case for Sustainment and related equipment for an estimated cost of $450 million. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this possible sale today.

The Government of Pakistan has requested to consolidate prior F-16 sustainment and support cases to support the Pakistan Air Force F-16 fleet by reducing duplicate case activities and adding additional continued support elements. Included are U.S. Government and contractor engineering, technical, and logistics services for follow-on support of Pakistan’s F-16 fleet to include:

— Participation in F-16 Aircraft Structural Integrity Program
— Electronic Combat International Security Assistance Program
— International Engine Management Program
— Engine Component Improvement Program, and other technical coordination groups
— Aircraft and engine hardware and software modifications and support
— Aircraft and engine spare repair/return parts
— Accessories and support equipment
— Classified and unclassified software and software support
— Publications, manuals, and technical documentation
— Precision measurement, calibration, lab equipment, and technical support services
— Studies and surveys
— Other related elements of aircraft maintenance and program support.

The proposed sale does not include any new capabilities, weapons, or munitions.
The estimated total cost is $450 million.

This proposed sale will support the foreign policy and national security objectives of the United States by allowing Pakistan to retain interoperability with U.S. and partner forces in ongoing counterterrorism efforts and in preparation for future contingency operations.
The proposed sale will continue the sustainment of Pakistan’s F-16 fleet, which greatly improves Pakistan’s ability to support counterterrorism operations through its robust air-to-ground capability. Pakistan will have no difficulty absorbing these articles and services into its armed forces.

The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not alter the basic military balance in the region.

The principal contractor will be Lockheed Martin Corporation, Fort Worth, TX. There are no known offsets proposed in conjunction with this sale.

Implementation of this proposed sale will not require the assignment of any additional U.S. Government or contractor representatives to Pakistan.

There will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale.
This notice of a potential sale is required by law. The description and dollar value is for the highest estimated quantity and dollar value based on initial requirements. Actual dollar value will be lower depending on final requirements, budget authority, and signed sales agreement(s), if and when concluded.

better 2 decades late than never?

US technology is superior to the Chinese.
The only US military hardware that still has an edge is the nuclear attack subs, which China does not
Just quote one - F-16s will ensure that Pakistan will have upper hand over the Indians for foreseeable future.
Ok so in the last encounter with Indians we were told F16 by the US that f16s can only be used against counterinsurgency operations
Check this out

In another word, the F16s in Pak AF are for display only. If they are ever used against Indian military, US can sanction Pakistan whatever it chooses. Yet, a big YET, Pakistan still enjoys being the slaves they are to the Americans. My Gosh... Why did Pak buy the F16s with the strings attached in the first place and continues to supply $$$ to their American masters?
BTW, @jamesisi , the days of F16s topping Indian fighters were over. Both the Su30SM and Rafales could easily shoot down every f* F16s Pakistan has. Remember, the F16s Paks have are older.

Do Pakistan people know what images the Pak government and military are presenting to the Chinese? American-installed puppets. Their balls are in NSA's hand. Do Pakistan people realize China is in a near-war state with the US? US is trying to steal Chinese military know-hows (recent hacking and stealing over 120GB of data from Northwest Tech). So hell No J35 will be sold to Pakistan-- if a non-naval version ever produced. Good luck trying to buy American F35's.

better 2 decades late than never?

The F16's Pakistan has are for display only.. or maybe shoot some civilians on the ground with no anti-air capabilities. Sorry buddy, you still don't realize shit.

I think only israel will have f35s
Everyone else in middleeasy can only dream and part with their money in anticipation but will never materialise
Some American-friendly ME countries will eventually pay an arm and leg for some F35's. But these F35s will have bugs installed that their missiles cannot lock onto any Israel or American jets.

Waste of money. When the iaf finally brings Rafales, these f16 will be useless. Americans won’t allow them to be used against india anyway plus they may have secret kill switch so the plane becomes a duck. But go waste money on it to feel better.
Our paf/pn/pa remain usa slaves.
Can only kill, torture and subjugate ordinary pakistani civilians at best. Dushman se to inko “peace’ chahiyay, mangtay phirte hain peace.

F-16 fanboys: "We will use the F-16s in Pak airspace as a defensive measure".

Don't underestimate the F-16 fanboy. He has thought it all through.

So TTP plus khawarijs were our own people???
Yes, they were, you were using them as proxies not too long before that...and that's not all you were bombing, you were also bombing whole villages, wedding parties and whoever your colonial masters were telling you to bomb including madressas full of children.

You can callously laugh all you want and make light of the misery you projected on the "lesser" Pakistanis on the behest of your colonial masters, but it still doesn't change the fact that incidents like below are part of history and despite your orgasming at bombed out children that's something you will have to own.

Tell him how many Pakistanis perished during WoT because of these F-16s.

Mak my words US will now never ever sell Pakistan any upgraded equipment like F-16 block 52+ anymore, they are well aware that now Pakistan has access to Chinese technology, and the US will never look to compromise their tech and yet our spinesless rusted Iron leadership of DHA will bend over and over again for US

A waste of money. How many J-10C can we buy with 450 million dollars? A superb fighter worth every dollar.

.
The money for this is comming out of our CSF funds stuck with the u.s...they were not allowing Pakistan to use them as we see it fit.

Now they have agreed to this, to bhai I don't know why some members are going hysterical over it.
We are not paying any thing for it, plain n simple.
