Gwadar deep port city looks beautiful and much better developed at the back of American Ambassador Donald Blome in the video above.

If you are smarter, you can sell a place to 10 different folks, without even owning it. In business jargon, it is called Leveraged buyout. If you are smart you can rent a place to 10 different fools
Message from US : This baby is back in our lap. Your 50 Billion dollars investment is done and dusted.
China will decide who can visit Gwadar? Terms and conditions like these are not conducive to expanding economic portfolio of Gwadar.Pakistan may have sovereignty, but China has the Suzerainty (along with IMF). So, it is understandable a U.S. ambassador may be persona-non-grata if China has objections. A bit like China protests if a high-level foreigner pays official visit to Taiwan.
China may decide. He who pays the piper calls the tune. They may reasonably assume U.S. ambassador may create restlessness among the locals by unintentionally pointing out that they may not be benefitting from all this investment.China will decide who can visit Gwadar? American ambassador visiting Gwadar makes no difference whatsoever to CPEC.
Chinese ports are open to American shipments, but Gwadar should not be? Interesting.China may decide. He who pays the piper calls the tune. Gwadar port may certainly be open to all and sundry ships, But not a high level American official. There is obvious difference between commercial traffic and appearance of interference.Chinese ports are open to American shipments, but Gwadar should not be? Interesting.
There had been protests in Gwadar due to lack of opportunities for locals in this glorious project.
Pakistan can benefit from Gwadar by opening it up to locals and global trade. It is of limited use to Pakistan otherwise.
When was the last time US invested in Pakistan in a meaningful, sustainable and mutually beneficial way? No US private enterprise with strictly a commercial objective is coming to Gawadar. As for the US Gov. it is only going to provide some paltry sum to a dubious org to go create some more mischief. Please calm down people. Gwadar should welcome all investment. Pakistan should welcome US investment. That would also mean no US support for Baloch separatists as they would threaten that investment.
Sadly, I think no US investment will come, especially to Gwadar. The ambassador's visit is nothing more than one done for publicity.
We have relations with all powers. U.S, China, Russia, and Saudi Arabia. We are free to do what we want. Now get lost Indian. My advice, get food, shelter and toilets for your billion+ people that they desperately need.Message from US : This baby is back in our lap. Your 50 Billion dollars investment is done and dusted.
Do you see Pakistani objecting to American ambassador in China visiting any Chinese port or city? The answer is NO. This is not our place to decide.Gwadar port may certainly be open to all and sundry ships, But not a high level American official. If some poorly worded chit chat by a low-level official in Washington D.C. can cause an appearance of putsch, you think a physical visit to Gwadar will be considered innocent? BTW, what exactly is the business of U.S. Ambassador in Gwadar? Do Ambassadors of Germany, Japan, U.K., France visit the place too?Do you see Pakistani objecting to American ambassador in China visiting any Chinese port or city? The answer is NO. This is not our place to decide.
But rules are different for Pakistan?
Is it sensible to tell American ambassador in Pakistan to not visit Gwadar because Chinese will be upset? How does this reflect on Pakistan as a sovereign country?
No such thing as appearance of interference - being insecure it not helpful.
And how exactly Involving US into a major Chinese investment zone going to help Pakistan? Yes Gwadar isnt off-limits but then again you cannot involve two opposite forces in a similar zone and hope and pray for everything to go well.
Chinese ports are open to American shipments. American companies are developing Chinese infrastructure. American companies can open manufacturing plants in economic hubs of China. But rules are different for Pakistani slaves. And how exactly Involving US into a major Chinese investment zone going to help Pakistan?
