US Airstrike Kills 41 People in Afghanistan

And they are interested to stay after 2014 :pop:

.
Well, every time you see the term 'suspected militant' to do describe those killed in an airstrike or drone attack, you know that they don;t know who they may be killing, nor do they care to get a positive ID afterwards.

Better a group of civilians than one of your soldiers, that is the thought process behind the use of allied air power.

We are doing the exact same strategy in Tirah Valley and elsewhere on our own citizens too, please do not forget that.

Chances are that you are correct and that there could be civilian casualties (even babies like you said) depending on the targets. However, I was hoping that there would be some confirmation from the Afghans themselves that that was indeed the case before jumping to certain conclusions prematurely. That is all Saeenjee.

If only all kills were confirmed, named and identified.

@Sher Malang

Collateral damage? Are these 41 dead not worth your three letter "RIP" ?

Dude you are a mod and you need to be different from others - the news is false it's calling the Taliban as 'people' I have already read this so kindly don't tag me for nonsense.

PS: What goes here in my country I am aware of it more than any fan boy here and I am the first who has always condemned the killings of innocents be in Afghanistan or Pakistan!

Phir Lahore kubbb aaa rahaa haiii ? :azn:

I met an Afghan, at my local college the other day ! :)

He started conversing with me in Pashto as I looked on like an idiot not knowing a word of what he was saying. I then told him that I'm not a Pashtun but a Kashmiri & he said 'aahhh...you look so much like an Afghan but koi baat nahin Kashmiri aur Afghan eik hi nasal haii' before he proceeded to give me a kiss on the cheek & embraced me as a brother ! :bad:

BC - Tum loggon ko kissiii nei nahin sikhayaa that grown men don't kiss other grown men !

Not nearly.
Wherever we've conducted large scale ops, we've evacuated civilians. Besides, we don't use nearly as much air power as the US does.

Our war has been fought by the infantryman on the ground, supported by arty and the air, but the bulk of any offense of ours has been our work on the ground, we clear all the areas by sending in foot soldiers killing or pushing back the talibs. Even then, wherever we conduct airstrikes, arty, it is far better planned, more careful than US/NATO air power, in fact early on in the war I remember that the US used cluster munitions too. Of course, we have to admit that shamefully, it's likely that our battles on the ground, and use of arty and air power must have killed or injured civilians. But it is on far less of a scale.

The US likes to fight outside large bases with the bulk of it's offensive capabilities comes from the use of allied air power, only recently has it gotten a little better since they send in the ANA where they'd rather not venture.

I have 1 Question for Pakistanis.

Do;t they feel bad that they have to drop bombs on their own territory?
