You seem to like these photos of cooperation of U.S. and Viet Nam military. So, here are some more for you to LIKE, SHARE and COMMENT: Last month, from Sep 22 to 26, at the School for Air Force Officers, units under the Vietnamese Air Force-Air Defense Command and the U.S. Air Force in the Pacific held an exchange session on flight safety as well as air force consultation.

What they mean to post this by US Embassy in Hanoi. Will US sell drones for artillery guided to Vietnam ?

Sorry to say, but you're unlikely to see VN ally with US in your lifetime.

I don't think US should station troops in Vietnam. Vietnam should handle its affairs with China by itself as Vietnam is a sovereign nation and US should not interfere with other's business.

I was talking about the present VCP and whether they would make an alliance with the US or not, or whether they would relinquish their power or not. Why would you need to mention Ho? it's not like he could come back from his grave to instruct the VCP to ally with the US.

So in which way is the present VCP Marxist? I'm talking about their practice here, not what their Secretary general says. Can VCP members here answer this?

More importantly, how would this relate to the issue of whether there would be an alliance with the US or not? My contention was that the present VCP is Authoritarian and nothing else. It is neither Marxist nor capitalist. They can call themselves state capitalists or free market socialists or whatever. It is obviously they are a confused bunch and their only main priority is to hold on to power. They are smart enough to know that a formal alliance with the US would mean that their political power would be compromised.

That would be impossible . For us to be US allies, we will allow them to station troops and must become democratic. There is no alternative
