TOKYO – It’s probably just a coincidence; no need to worry yet. But the U.S. has quietly assembled a powerful air, land and sea armada not far from where Japan and China are squaring off over disputed islands in the East China Sea.

Two Navy aircraft carrier battle groups and a Marine Corps air-ground task force have begun operating in the Western Pacific, within easy reach of the Senkaku Islands. That’s where Japanese and Chinese patrol boats are engaged in an increasingly tense standoff.

Excellent news. Chinese must be recollecting the old days of the Opium Wars if they are aware of their own history.

Chinese may now change their tone and stubbornness in their claim. They may now talk about joint development of the Senkaku islands.

time to get the DF-21D ASBM ready to teach the yanks a lesson just like we did in the korean war.

Whatever you did in the Korean war was because of the Soviet backing.

This is clearly a big warning for China. It cannot be a coincidence.
It makes Beijing a headache.

This well calculated move actually crippled the determination of the CCP. Chinese are now getting the taste of reality.

Considering the vastness of the ocean, 1,000km is also consider near but anyway the USS John C. Stennis is on her way to the Gulf. The usual intimidation by the US is nothing new. Didn't she have all kind of war games with the Philippines near Huangyan too and what happy? Nada! right, nada not Noda. Ho hum.

The lesson would be that DF-21D is useless in real combat and is just for the show, just like the Varyag. Hitting a moving target with a ballistic missile is something that not even the US could do.

That would be true if only they're built by Koreans, their space program is a perfect example.

While Koreans can barely getting their rockets to go straight, it's not hard to figure out why hitting a moving target is impossible for them.

Navy officials confirmed Sunday that the USS George Washington carrier strike group has begun operating in the East China Sea, near the disputed islands.

The USS John C. Stennis group is only slightly further away in the South China Sea. Each carrier is armed with more than 80 warplanes, and strike groups typically include guided-missile cruisers and destroyers, submarines and supply ships.

In the nearby Philippine Sea, some 2,200 Marines are embarked aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard and two escorts. The Marines are equipped with amphibious assault vehicles, light armored vehicles, artillery, helicopters and Harrier fighter jets.

very impressive naval force. Considering the warships from other nations, the seas are infested more with warships than sharks.

Nope, we fight our wars by ourselves unlike Indians that seek American or soviet help.

We have defeated the US, USSR, India andVietnam.

PLA is undefeated in military warfare.

We waxed the US military in the Korean War.
Deal with it mate.

As for now, we will do what we want when ever the damn hell we want..... You know why? Because this is china's world, you just live in it.

Well we can do it.
It's already tested and 100% successful.
We are the only country that has such advanced technology.
Indians like you can only import.

Now we have the capability to sink all 11 American aircraft carriers.
You can take that to the bank.

Sorry. your DF is a "training" shell of a gun like your training ship called an A/C. Ten days approaching on post roleout and no aircraft yet to land on it

DF-21D is america's worst nightmare.
We have the capability to sink any ship on this planet.
America has no counter, their SM-3 is all hype, unproven in anything, SM-3 is yet another propaganda weapon from the American regime. I doubt it even exists.
DF-21D is untouchable.

. .
Relax people. Nothing is gonna happen. There wont be any war, both China and the US know better than to start shovelling **** against the tide.
