I don't know it is sad or heartening but when the Pakistani bashing crowd wants to roll out an expert, all they can seem to muster is Mohammad Taqi. Like when they want to bash Israel they get Chomsky and for Pakistan they get Mohammad Taqi.

He went to a 2nd rate medical school in Pakistan -- was clever enough to pass the US medical exams -- and is run of the mill medical practitioner in Florida -- No Harvard or MIT here

There are even more pictures of US Presidents with Pakistani heads of governments since the 1940s -- Actually far more than say even Indian head of governments -- India has how many IITs now?? -- there is arguably not a single Pakistani institute of the calibre of IITs.

The sad truth is Afghans, and Pakistanis are more interested in photo ops.

Pakistan has no foreign military base present on it's soil, meanwhile there are over 400 foreign bases in Afghanistan. You should be ashamed to even call yourself a country.

As far approach what we are gonna do about it! That is the fundamental question, Ashraf Ghani has extended a hand of friendship and he still does, it is for Pakistan whether to live in peace with us or back Talis. Sane minds would accept the former but if it choses than later then it will have communiques such as the recent BRICS declaration and more to come!

You need to understand something very clear. Pakistan does not need Afghanistan, your economy depends on us; we could cripple it within the blink of an eye.

Till the point US is obsessed with Afganistan, Pakistan will always have upper hand with US Pak relation. Irrepsective of whatever US says towards Pakistan, at the end of the day, the drinking water to sanitary napkins are transported to Afganistan through Karachi Port in Pakistan....So without the help from Pakistan, US really can not do anything..This is the ground reality...

I can see the solution lies with a reconciliation between Pakistan and Afganistan and to some extent, Pakistan should be comfortable with economic activity of India in Afghanistan without India being enraged in any political influence in Afganistan...And also, US should really move out of Afganistan..It does not really make sense for US to waste tax payer money in Afgainstan in the form of military presence...Rather, it would be great, if same money can be used as economic assistance to Afganistan.

And most critical element of this issue is the nation Afganistan itself....Afganistan people and citizens should start thinking about their nation itself..Some kind of internal political process should be initiated by thelselves without involving any outside entities...Let people of Afganistan decide about their future, choice and preferences...

Even Japan and South Korea have given bases that does not mean they are occupied while Afghanistan Please! dont make me laugh. First it were the soviets not the US and NATO. And for your information Pakistan hasnt given any naval base to China as yet. All there is a proposed joint task force to protect CPEC.

1. Semantics nothing more ( join task force!! give me a break) You are inviting Godless communists into your country with final say in anything strategic so spare me the semantics. Call the American presence whatever you wish, the fact of the matter is that US and NATO will have presence on your flank, with billions in assistance every year to the AF gov.

2. Pakistan was not blamed? If you cant infer what was implicitly said by naming every group that Pak is nurturing then then probably it is time to go back to school!
