That's why he is pushing for Assad needs to go so much, as he has fantasies, oops, long plan.

You will still remain regional power. The rest in the region ain't really going anywhere and long term projections for most are in between endless civil/sectarian war when "things" run out or marching to EU in hope it gives them asylum.
