Gar aajtujh say judahaintukallbahamhoon gay
Yehraatbher key judaitu koi baatnehien
Gar aajooj pay haitala-a raqeebtukya
Yeah char din key khudaitu koi baatnahien

[If away from you today tomorrow we will be together
One night’s separation is nothing to worry about
If the enemy has the upper hand today so what
Being a god for four days is nothing to be proud of]

Father & Son ; Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi & Nauman Qasmi

A father is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
but instead picks you up,
brushes you off,
and lets you try again.

A father is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.

A father is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail...

For in the end a father knows you have a chance to be everything he dreamed but could not....and so it will be when you are a father too!

Thank you for this lovely poem, brought a tear to my eye...I didnt understand it when I was a kid that well, but now I appreciate much more what my dad did for me when I look back with older eyes.

Happy Birthday Nasir Kazmi

Nasir Kazmi was one of the greatest poets of his era. He should be ranked among those of our writers who were not destined to live long but who, during their limited span, wrote extensively and touched the heights of creativity before passing away.

Happy Birthday Jaun
One of the greatest Urdu poets, Jaun Elia, was born in Uttar Pradesh but moved to Pakistan after Partition. His poems reflect his revolutionary ideas and his love is always unrequited. Nihilism, loneliness, a deep grief of separation and self-destruction are the central themes of his poetry and each line will tug your aching heart.

ساری دنیا کے غم ہمارے ہیں
اور ستم یہ کہ ہم تمہارے ہیں
