Upper Dir mosque blast kills 10

let me create some facts here it cant be Pakistani Shia :

Sorry to puncture your deluded balloon.

Please read some sources below. I have posted an old article so that you don't say it just started.

BBC NEWS | World | South Asia | Pakistan's Shia-Sunni divide

Differences between Pakistan's Sunni majority and Shia minority go back to the Islamic schism following the prophet's death.

But in the past two decades those differences have been manifest in repeated violence wrought by Sunni and Shia extremists.

SO THERE ARE EXTREMIST PAKISTANI SHIAS. SORRY HATRED IS A BIGGER INFLUENCE THAN ALLAHS WORD.

Now lets come to PAKISTANI SUNNI - SHIA BOMBINGS

It is estimated that around 4,000 people have been killed in Shia-Sunni violence since the 1980s across Pakistan.

PAKISTAN: Sunni-Shia Strife Triggers Exodus Along Afghan Border

Sectarian tensions have spilled over into Peshawar, the NWFP capital. On Jan. 17, a suicide attack on a religious procession of Shias to honour the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, the grandson of Prophet Mohammad, in 680 AD, killed 14 people and injured 25. The blast occurred close to a similar tragic attack on the procession last year, on Jan. 27.

Hope that is educative.

Shia Sunnis fight like rabid dogs even tough they believe in the same Allah.

These attacks are horrible, and every person who has died in these cowardly acts is another person too many.
The fact that it occurs a bit too often in Pakistan doesn't mean we have to neglect it or try to "ignore" it.
You want to know something? Today I woke up, I was lying on my bed, before I really stand up and brush my teeth, I spend a little time pondering and wondering in bed, and I was thinking about the current situation in Pakistan and about the war going on in the tribal areas.
I was thinking that perhaps yet another bomb blast had happened somwhere in Pakistan, now it was just something which came to my mind, ofcourse I hoped that it wasn't true, it was just an awful thought which crossed my mind due to the war against the Taliban and the security situation in certain areas of Pakistan.

Now what happened, this morning I turned on my computer, my homepage Yahoo arrived and the first fricken thing I read is that a bomb blast in a mosque in Pakistan has killed atleast 40 people.
It's just unbelievable, having no sorrow or acting as if things like these are to be expected and therefor shouldn't be too shocking is inhuman.
We won't win wars with this mentality, we'll win it by trying to prevent these cowardly attacks or destroy the people who give the commands, and root out the anti-Pakistan and anti-Government sentiments in our country.

My condolences to the families and friends of these people who were in and around the mosque when this cowardly attack happened.

There is indeed schism between Sunnis and Shias, however I believe that it is not as bad as it could be, thankfully.

Out of a population of over 170 Million, approximately 20% of which is Shiah, an unconfirmed figure of 4,000 over 30 years does not correlate as the "rabid dog" scenario you present.

Shias regularly go on marches across Pakistan; Sunnis usually just look at them out of curiosity…

At this moment in time sunni-shiah relations seem to be improving, and most educated Muslims, whatever school of though they follow, still do not call their counterparts “Kafirs” (at most they will call one another misguided).

There was a period in Islamic history, where 2 caliphates operated, one Sunni and one Shiah. There was a mutual agreement between both Muslim parties to not expand their respective empires into one another territory, and famously they agreed to expand in opposite directions so that they could both spread the message of Islam, in unison.

The Catholics and protestant’s across Ireland for example, also fight, despite both of them proclaiming Jesus as Lord and saviour, and both claiming to have the Holy Spirit…

Yes true but it was limited to a very small area but equally bad. However you forget world wide statistics regarding Shia vs Sunni is very large and wide spread

Iran Vs Iraq ( 8 year war)
Iran Vs Saudi
Pakistan Internal
Iraq Internal
Iran Internal
etc

Compare that with N. Ireland ?

UK or Ireland never went to war over N Ireland till date.

Yes, and this is very unfortunate and embarrassing to say the least.

Until the Muslims stop fighting amongst themselves over petty issues, many Muslims will continue to live in the dark ages.
