Updated Member groups

Dear All,

In our continued efforts to improve the Defence.pk experience we have restructured the user groups. Please review the details below:

Fresh members
All new registrations

They can't create threads, except in the Members Introduction area

Full Members
Fresh Members with at least 5 posts.

They can create threads in all their forums

Senior Members
Full members who have spent several months and have 1000 posts

They get to post in Officer's mess area and get some posting related rights

Elite Members
Senior Members with 5000 posts and many months spent on the forum

All new features of the forum will first be passed to the Elite group and then to the rest of the forum

yeah i noticed Imran Khan has been promoted to Elite Group.

I was wondering you should provide more prevelidge to Think Tank now. I mean abilility to merge threads/close threads as most of the Think Tank members making posts almost everyday requesting MODs to merge/close threads.

Nice step Asim i was thinking you should have more categories... once you enter in senior members group you don't get promotion but now we have Elite Group ...........Interesting.......

Some of the requirements are vague and needs clarification.

Full Members
Fresh Members with a considerable amount of posts and 1 month of membership

They can create threads in all their forums


Senior Members
Full members who have spent several months and have 1000 posts

They get to post in Officer's mess area and get some posting related rights

Elite Members
Senior Members with 5000 posts and many months spent on the forum

All new features of the forum will first be passed to the Elite group and then to the rest of the forum

Please clearly specify both the number of months and number of posts and ranking status should be given on whichever comes first.

They will actually continuously keep changing according to posting trends (not by much) but they are there mostly to deter spammers.

Right now they are quite relaxed and according to the trends we observe we will keep tweaking them. For purposes of not giving a set goal to the spammers, we will not mention when and what we have revised the unmentioned parameters to.
