Update on J-11B Project

There are efforts from Pakistani engineers in J11b specially Avionics and cockpit design .

Pakistan Navy is rumored to be interested in this bird , lets see if it comes true.

j-11B is a chinese modified version of su-27SK.This aircraft used to be considered the most popular members of aircrafts modified from su-27 until the new su-35. comparing to the su-27SK, j-11B is much more skinny. it lost about 700 to 800 kg therefore j-11B moves way more smart and be able to carry more missiles. also, j-11B has a better radar system(may not as good as russian ones but still improving) and better control system. j-11B's engine is also better than AL-31.however, the ws-10 lacks its stability in the past few years and hopefully it is ready now since it has been seen on the j-11B recently.

on the other hand, indian su-30MKI is blusterous on its capability.back to 1996, india sign a deal with russia to get a newest jet- su-30MKI which is still on the paper at that time. however, india recieved the first batch of su-30MKI at the spring of 1997,how can russia be so fast while its economy is at the hell at that time? the truth is the so called su-30MKI is just su-27UBK, the used ones. the second batch is even worse. india blamed russia the su-30mki is so full of trouble and russia reply it is because you used it too wildly(funny, is it?).

anyway, the su-30mki nowadays is not that lamn. however, it is still blusterrous in some part.first of all,it is way too fat as a fight jet. the radar system of su-30mki produced by russia is so old russia style which used a lot of copper(650kg, that is way china refuse to have it at the first time). consequently, it increased the weight of the head of su-30mki. notice the duck wing on su-30mki? it is not designed to make the jet moving more smart but to produce a upper force to the head.(ironic, it it). also the french part and russian part of radar and control system seem have troubles to work together and india is still unable to solve it when russia refuse to give india the core tech. then coming the engine which is the proud part of the su-30mki. the fluidic thrust vectoring tech used is not mature even now.

for china and pakistan bros, our concern is if su-30mki can be upgraded in a near future. india is able to get 99M1 from russia(china is getting 99M2, rumor as usual) and better radar system but god knows how much it costs.

conclusion, j-11B is a good jet and better than j-10. chinese do not talk about it because it is not our own baby. su-30mki is not that good. india bros just used it to keep their people confident.

this is just a rough translation of chinese views on j-11B and su-30mki. i wish to see the different opnions from indian bros. just do not post some bullshit. try to say something solid please.

remebER the person who is in the pilot seat know beast how much can a bvr missel can have range? 120 the most and that is top of the line Amramm so after that it come into sharp turns and AIM 9 sidewinders or archchards. i think expeareance fighter pilots can be a worthy only...

the main point is J11B or whatever is no where close to MKI...

J11B is based on su-27 and since it still shares the same aerodynamamics as of su-27, the improvement in its performance can only be possible by a small fraction....

it goes to show how little you understand modern air combat, range from the role of C4I, EW, datalink, to network-centric warfare, detection range, to missile guidance.

While The J-11B is not a game changer, but your post clearly suggested you are interested in flame. It is not how "big" you are, it is how to use it. The question is, how is the J-11B with its new found capability is going to fit into PLAAF's current Anti-access doctrine and will it be an effective solution and in large enough numbers to fulfill PLAAF's requirement. While the Russian AA systems and its guidance is well-know in the international arms market (anyone with USD can buy them, including the US of A), there is a reason for China's decision to arm their bird with their own systems such as the PL-12, PL-8 etc.

Again, your post clearly shows you are not interested in a meaning exchange.
