Update of FATF Meeting: Outcomes FATF Plenary, 21-23 February 2018

FATF is just a propaganda tool. There would be zero impact on the ground for Pakistan.
Sure that's what the KSE 100 showed, even when it was just rumor. Lost 500 or 700 points in a day.....Yup, zero impact.

. . .
This is a typical save face/buy time tactic of China.
What we know is Pakistan is not on the list, there're no mentioned that they is set to put Pakistan on that list in the memo also.
Pakistan need to work with the US in 3 months to block terrorist financing otherwise US will put her on that list, by some sources.

Only 3 parties opposed the US, Turkey have deep hatred to US recently , so no way to by pass it
KSA and China, if they openly oppose the US, the US will still has her way with her allies in EU, no matter what the outcome in FATF, so oppose her in every turn is very un-wise, this is the US we're talking about.
It's not quite clear who the US approach first, I think it may be KSA, if the KSA flipped, China alone is useless.

So, the logical conclusion is yield in , Pakistan is not on the list, is not on the memo , but Pakistan must work to satisfy the US concern.
If Pakistan can not do that, well, that's June problem, all parties can continue the fight in June, no way to put Pakistan on the grey list in June if China and KSA and Turkey "think" Pakistan is doing good enough, that's the whole point: "we agree that they MUST do more, but I think this is enough , you do not"

The US and her allies can call it a success, Pakistan avoid the bullet.
The US ensure Pakistan will work to satisfy her request in terrorist financing.
KSA and China get benefit.

This is a Win-Win solution, some may call it a bigger Win for China, China way of reap benefit during crisis is astounding.
Openly oppose the US is un-wise, especially when it come to terrorist.

My 5 cents :D

US and West as usual keep on exploiting Pakistan....I am really surprised...How come ur establishment still allow nato trucks to go through ur country inspite so much of issues?

It was a failure of Pakistan govt to take any action after Aug 2017 Trump's policy statement. If Pakistan had started using diplomatic channels since then, today the results would be in favor of Pakistan. 6 months is half a year and more than enough to win world's support which Pakistani govt failed to because for Pakistanis it is important that they keep pulling each other's leg instead of focusing on real issues. Pakistani public foolishly supported Imran's "go nawaz go", Nawaz's "mujhay kyun nikala" and mulla's dharnas, instead of forcing all these b@$t@rds to focus on real issues. Today Pakistan is not getting any "aid/bheek/coalition support fund" from US but Pakistani govt failed to impose any fees/taxes for heavy convoys passing towards Afghanistan.

Find me any other country that shows such foolishness.

Pakistani minister confirmation.. pakistan to be placed in grey list from June

dawn: /news/1391835/pakistan-may-find-itself-on-fatf-blacklist-after-june

Well, I think I can make some useful correct guess yesterday.
But, in my humble opinion, no way in June to even grey list Pakistan, not even mention backlist.
By then, China will pull Russia card.
If Pakistan fail badly, which I think will not be the case, she will be on grey.

This is not about Afghanistan. When the US says to do more it is essentially giving Pakistan a whole list of demands. US beef with Pakistan is deep. It used to borderline enmity, but now it has surpassed that stage.

The wish list contains some absurd demands such as sharing all nuclear secrets i.e. denuclearize. On top of that, the US expects Pakistan to undo all its economic and regional projects with China.

Anyone can do the math. It ain't gonna happen. No matter how heavy the penalty.

I don't get it, the reason in the resolution is about some militant group and how they get money, what you said is a very different type of demands, that desert a middle finger.

Let them bring it on. We are not going to be intimated. It is too bad they failed to do it this time around. The last time the Americans imposed sanctions they came crawling back to the negotiation table.

I don't get it, the reason in the resolution is about some militant group and how they get money, what you said a a very different type of demands.

You think the Americans are going to share these demands in public? These are highly inflammatory demands and you can already judge by your own reaction. These are covert demands. The Americans don't give a crap about Afghanistan. They have been fighting there for 16 years which is to undermine the regional security.

Are you going to tell me that Pakistan can prevent the US from defeating the Taliban? LOL Are you telling me that the Americans cannot defeat Haqqani group because Pakistan is providing covert support? LOL Think about it for a moment. This is the US we are talking about. The American goal to remain in Afghanistan is to keep an eye on China and the region. Destabilizing Pakistan through Afghanistan is one huge US goal. They have had some luck, but they have largely failed in their objective.

Nobody is answering the question about Why China ditching Pakistan in Fatf. Whether China doesn't understand the American conspiracy against CPEC or China has some other goals?

China didn't ditch Pakistan. These are just rumors. According to your Indian media Pakistan was supposed to be placed on the grey list. What happened to your own promise? Why don't you first answer this question?
