UPA's Pink Revolution Makes India World's Biggest Beef Exporter

I hope you live on Planet Earth. There are so called religious wars happening all the time on the planet I live on. The country I live in has been divided in the name of religion and as of now there are two countries neighboring India which would love to see its destruction. All based on religion. So who is this "no one really gives a hoot" you are talking about?

Yawn. With all due respect, I'm pretty bored of your lectures, ma'am, and frankly, don't have the patience to respond to the same old lines you've been posting over and over. Once you stop giving a rat's behind about religion and let people live the way they want to, the world will become a lot more liveable, and for the love of the planet, stop preaching, and start living.

Since you also are from Bombay, is it not true that the most posh areas in Bombay refuse to sell their flats to people of certain religion. Are these part of "no one gives a hoot" too?

No that's not entirely accurate. It varies from building to building, and from flat owner to flat owner, and the same thing happens in Muslim majority neighbourhoods with respect to Hindu/Christian buyers, I'd never indulge in so much pettiness, so I don't give a hoot about the closed minded rubbish that does.

That accounts for one of those socialist experiments in moronery. Not that it is illegal to be a moron, but really some of us are realists and try to deal with the world as it is. So speak for yourself instead of generalizing "no one gives a hoot."

LOL. Sure. The people who really matter in this city don't give a hoot, so go preach all you like. If people actually cared as much as you do about what's on other people's plates, things would be different today. I repeat, no one of any real value (leaving aside the rabid politicians who are valued only for their BS in their shi##y circles, and maybe a few others who can't do anything about it) gives a rat's behind about silly nuances in religion in 21st century India.

You are really the heights. The entire municipal governing body in Mumbai is handled by Shiv Sena a rabidly Hindu political organization. You say they don't matter. The flats in richest of areas in Mumbai are denied to certain people, and you say the rich in these areas do not matter. The entire political battle happening right now in India is between BJP and "secular" parties and you say they do not matter. So wonder who are these people who really matter and where they live.

So eating cow is good, spending money on liquor is good, but spending money on puja path is bad. This is basically your world view.

As far as I remember, I wrote that "Instead of spending money on puja path, spend it for the education of a needy child", yes, this is basically my world view, I don't expect you to agree with this, neither I bother if you have any problem with that. In any case it was for @SarthakGanguly . :)

Agreed there is no single path to Hinduism, but what is the concept behind idol worshipping which makes it so evil that you go around dropping hints about its undesirability?

Read again, when did I say idol worshiping is evil or undesirable? Are you having some kind of phobia my dear? I was just highlighting the fact that Hinduism has many paths.

Do enlighten me about why Shivalingam was worshipped.

Read about Maharshi Bhrigu.

I think its not exports or slaughter houses who are responsible for depleting cattle numbers but is farmers.

Thank you for accepting your priorities are screwed.

Oh how disappointing. Here I was all agog waiting for your expert opinion on what idol worship was and why Shivalingam was worshipped.

Hahahaha you've missed my point entirely. The rich matter, and that's what I'm talking about, and I apologise for being as blunt as I come across, but YOUR views don't. All your complaining isn't going to change anything on the ground, and the "rabidly Hindu" parties that you speak of haven't in all these decades, managed to change the law (that you so badly want changed) in line with their "orthodox" views. Go figure. :)

No doubt the need for money combined with lack of opportunities led by an anti-Hindu congress govt. has created a dire strait where hindus are forced to sell cows to make a living.

But given a choice and an opportunity to make money in a more moral way every one of them will stop this practice.

But on the other hand those who consume beef does it out of GREED not Need. That is the difference.
poor Kannada farmers???go to gudanlupet, chamrajanagar areas.....one farm is owned by a former bjp mla's cousin(hindu lingayath) and other by a hindu govda(a Kannada film distributor) from mandya...each own more than 3000 cows/buffalos...are they poor farmers???

The rich are those who are supporting a Hindu nationalist party and it is the BJP which is talking about banning beef. They are going to be circumspect about it, but let there be no mistake they will work towards it.

As to how much my views are worth, I am one of those so called "internet Hindus." People like me rule the social media and we are the opinion makers of the future.

India until now had been entirely under secular socialist set-up with the media hand in glove. This is going to change kiddo.

Shiv Sena on its own did not have the power to make the neccesssary political changes, well it is going to get a lot of help in the future.

Haha lip service. We support the BJP for other reasons, not for their BS on the banning of beef, which mind you, is NEVER going to happen.

 Please stop ma'am. It's all a bit much to handle before lunch. Haha

I do not know if you belong to the house of Tatas or Birlas. If not, you dont count as rich. There are others here as rich as you or perhaps more. Only you are the only show-off.

Oh I'm sorry, did I hit a raw nerve there? I think I did.
