Those days are long gone when people had this illusion of Good Taliban / Bad Taliban (^not good/bad terrorist)!! , Now even clerics have started given opinions that a terrorist should be killed as he is a "Fitna" and some have even said that its religiously allowed that Americans kill these terrorists

It is about time that this kind of thinking prevails. It is time to have as long-term view as possible. Short-sighted policies have created this mess. Only the people who have the right under law to bear arms must be allowed to do so. The rest should be disarmed or eliminated if they refuse to give them up. There is just no scope to talk before doing that.

My opinion/assumption is made on the opinion of Pakistani Members here. It's good that you people have started considering all Terrorist/Taliban as BAD Terrorist/Taliban. I hope now Pakistan will stand tall against this menace and irradiate it from its soil.

We also believe in the same (except a few) ... But our politicians believe in "negotiations" which will do nothing but give some extra time to the terrorists to re-organise and learn from their "past mistakes" !!

The situation is quite complicated . This "cancer" should have been treated in its "benign" stage , now it has become malignant !! . Eradicating Taliban might not be as easy as it seems . The almost impossible terrain and uncontrollable Pak Afghan border make it a very hard task . Any possibility of success lies in sincere coperation of Pak and Afghan authorities(provided that the Americans dont play a dirty role) , This seems very unlikely . Then the Tribal Pakhtuns are the kind of people who are never easy going . Their children donot go to schools but play with real guns instead of toys . And what adds insult to injury is the "presence of Taliban sympathizers in our ranks" !! And it is well known that The leadership of TTP punjab has good connections with some ministers in the cabinet of CM, Punjab !! who ,by chance , is the younger brother of our PM !! The situation is really bad ... Our only chance is Pak Army .. They are quite hostile towards Taliban because of their life losses (in thousands) ... Hope for the best

Situation is complicated because the past was complicated. The Army also flirted with these guys and looked upon them as "Strategic Assets" and helped them along for various reasons.
Now is the time to put those mistakes in the past and work anew. Yesterday's friends have come today's mortal enemies. So deal with them as such.

As has been mentioned here already; earlier attempts were being made to make differences between Good Taliban and Bad Taliban. How can one make difference between Good Cobras and Bad Cobras? Both are equally poisonous and Cobras will bite and kill anybody. Does anybody keep a Cobra as a pet? A Dog or Wolf maybe; but a snake?

That lot are uneducated have only a single agenda and are ruthless. Apart from that they are not united and keep shifting loyalties to all but themselves; have no clear idealogy except the single agenda and are corrupted as anybody as you can imagine. They have had a free reign for too long and have tasted blood. Now will they spare anybody?
Better to eliminate them.
