the UNSC is completely overrated, many people (including myself previously) think that a country having a permanent membership in the UNSC automatically means that country can dictate how the world works but in reality that is not the case at all, take the US for example, let us say the US willingly terminated it's own UN membership (including the UNSC) will that make America any less influential than now? Ofcourse not, if the UNSC declared sanctions on the US no country will actually sanction the US for fear that the US will starve them to death with sanctions, if the USNC passed a resolution against Israel (whether it's about military or economic sanctions) then the Israelis won't give a flying F because they know no one is actually gonna attack them militarily or economically because then Mama America will send it's Burkes & initiate regime change to install a pro Israel puppet in the unfriendly country , if the US wanted to impose global sanctions on any country they can do that perfectly without the UNSC simply by threatening every global company if they don't obey.
Germany is another good example, they don't have a permanent seat yet their influence in Europe is far much bigger than that of Russia, UK & France combined, if you would ask Putin "are you willing to let go off your UNSC membership in exchange for having the same influence & economic might of Germany in Europe?" Then his answer will be a resounding "YES".
let us say Australia gained permanent membership, will that in any way increase it's influence against China, ofcourse not, because China still would have the economic stick against Australia.
ofcourse you do get some perks with a permanent UNSC seat but it won't magically make you better.
A permanent membership for a neutral Muslim country (as one of our members suggested) unfortunately won't help protect the muslim world from America at all, if the US wants to invade a muslim country then they will do it regardless of what that "neutral UNSC Muslim member country" says, what will that member do anyway?for example If the US wanted to destroy some poor African muslim country & that neutral muslim member said "hey don't do that it is against international law" the US will simply say "F U , we have strong evidence that the poor African country has a secret chemical weapons program & they are giving shelter to AlQaeda we will invade & free their people"
