Video shows unprovoked, cold-blooded killing of Palestinian boys by Israeli forces

This shocking video shows the unprovoked, cold-blooded killings of two Palestinian teenagers, 17-year-old Nadim Siam Nuwara, and 16-year-old Mahmoud Odeh Abu Thahir on 15 May near Ofer military prison in the occupied West Bank city of Beitunia.

Both boys were fatally shot with live ammunition. The video was obtained by Defence for Children International - Palestine Section (DCI-Palestine) which sent the following description to The Electronic Intifada:

The CCTV footage was captured by cameras mounted on the building where the incident took place, which is owned by Fakher Zayed.

“The images captured on video show unlawful killings where neither child presented a direct and immediate threat to life at the time of their shooting,” said Rifat Kassis, executive director of DCI-Palestine. “These acts by Israeli soldiers may amount to war crimes, and the Israeli authorities must conduct serious, impartial, and thorough investigations to hold the perpetrators accountable for their crimes.”

Nadeem Siam Nawara, 17, sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest. Mohammad Mahmoud Odeh, 16, sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the back.

The boys were participating in a demonstration near Ofer military prison to mark Nakba Day and express solidarity with hunger striking prisoners currently held in administrative detention by Israel. The demonstration reportedly began peacefully and then turned violent when Israeli forces clashed with Palestinian youth.

The deaths on Thursday raise the number of Palestinian children killed by Israeli forces in 2014 to four, according to data collected by DCI-Palestine. Over 1,400 Palestinian children have been killed as a result of Israeli military and settler presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory since 2000.

The Israeli military’s own regulations dictate that live ammunition must be used “only under circumstances of real mortal danger,” but the regulations are not enforced and frequently ignored by Israeli soldiers, according to research by DCI-Palestine.

. . . . . .
Very Typical or you can say it is Traditional. And this will be going like this for the next decades also.

. . .
They don't target civilians, they just hit the places where they reside at.

yeah that's horrible fact , first they destroy their homes and than make tent for them , and show the world how great they are

terrorists dont act in self-defence.

if you ask them or Israeli member here , they will justify the innocent killings ..... kids throwing stones at TANKS gets shot by their armed peoples what's more barbarian than that ?

. . .
This is Nadim Nawara who "was killed by a bullet to his chest" or more precisely "to heart":

Strange I cant see any blood or chest heart wound, although M16 bullet causes huge wounds. On video he was killed on 13:45, yet you dont see any blood stains on 14:58 footage either.

I could not find any pic of Mahmoud Odeh Abu Thahir (one source says he was killed on back, other says he was killed to the lower abdomen). Although 3 photographers running immediately (who dont seem scarred or worried).

Also its strange that both were killed exactly on same spot right in the center of CCTV camera field of view.

Very possible that these CCTV killings were staged while real guys were killed in other place.

More propaganda by religious terrorists and apologists using the victim card.Israel should be supported by all peace loving people against religious extremism.

As you've probably realized by now, "Electronic Intifada" isn't a particularly worthy source of factual information - not the way the headline says, anyway...hmm, they are all under the terrorist gun. I guess it makes a twisted kind of sense, then, to run an anti-Zionist headline while the proofs, as @500 shows, are inconclusive or prove the opposite.

You have to learn to read between the lines - or is it view between the frames? - to get to the meat of the story.

Reminds me of my reading of one Muslim historian, who characterized a ruler as so great that no one spoke ill of him on the streets - that is, the author was trying to convey, as best he could without risking his life, that he was living in a terror state. Sadly, too many readers don't pick up on this. Small wonder, then, that when Muslims seek to emulate such rulers, they are frustrated by the results.
