Unprovoked Indian firing injures two Kashmiri children

Intruders do have some brain if you dont have any in this case, they do not cross in daylight openly.

You can consult a dictionary if you dont know the meaning of evening, you can consult an eye specialist in case you cant read properly.......

ISLAMABAD: Two children were wounded in “unprovoked firing” by Indian forces across the Line of Control, Pakistani officials said on Tuesday.
Officials said the shooting, in the Battal sector of Pakistani Kashmir, known as Azad Kashmir, took place on Monday evening, just days after the neighbours held their first official talks in more than year.

“An innocent boy and a girl were seriously injured due to unprovoked firing by Indian troops across the Line of Control,” a military official said.

“Pakistani troops responded effectively,” he said without giving details.

There has been a spate of clashes in the past few months along the Line of Control and on the border to the south but they are not expected to spark a broader conflict. —Reuters

Ameer, as I was saying to Jana, it looks like it might be a case of getting caught in the cross fire. There are many villages that are situated right in the middle of the loc and sometimes people do get caught in the firing. And believe me we get such reports in the Indian media all the time. So I guess cross-firing would be a plausible explanation. But it takes nothing away from the fact that its really unfortunate. Hope the kids recover soon

I know bro, but if you think about it this way, why start an unprovoked firing near a village located near a village when you know civilians are living there. Anyway, I do not expect you to see my point of you but I am glad that at least have some sympathy for the unfortunate children

I understand what you mean bro, but chose not to go into it as that might have degenerated into a flaming contest once other people too joined in. But still let me give you my point of view below.

I had this chat on a train with a BSF captain a couple of weeks while traveling back home to Punjab from Delhi. He had earlier been posted on the LOC in the Samba sector. So I asked him if the firing still happens, after the cease-fire. He said it does occasionally. Out of a sense of curiosity and in a sense of neutrality I asked him we (BSF/India) ever start it. His reply was very simple. He said that we dont need to push any people across the border. Its they (Rangers) who want to and hence use the firing to distract those troops manning the borders. So they will fire at a location far away from the point where infiltrators are crossing to make sure the Indians don't concentrate on the part where the infiltration happens.

Now I am certainly not saying that the above thing is like 100% sure. But its does serve as food for thought to an extent.

Why dont you get lost from here because there is nothing else then disrespecting a country's armed forces .

The incident is very unfortunate and shouldn't have happened but well the sad part is that sometimes terrorists take cover of those very same children to cross into the Indian side of the border. It becomes difficult for men posted to judge how they should react.

Indian officials always term any cross border firing as provoked by pakistan Rangers and Pakistan officials claim other way. And you all are aware about intruders (which you say Mujahideen). Only sad things civilians from both sides often become the victims. Here is Indian version of the story.

Pak troops fire on LoC posts, launch rocket attacks--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jammu, Mar 2 (PTI) Violating the ceasefire, Pakistani troops fired rockets and used heavy machine guns on Indian posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Pakistan troops fired several rockets followed by firing by heavy machine guns on five Indian forward posts of Kranti, Kranti 1, Kirpan, Ghora and Deep along LoC in Mendhar sub-sector of Poonch district last night, Brigadier General Staff (BGS) Gurdeep Singh said today.

The indiscriminate firing and rocket attacks came from Pakistan posts of Battal and Daku across LoC in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (***).

The firing began from 2055 hours last night and ended at 0015 hours. "It is clear ceasefire violation by the Pakistan troops," Singh said, adding that Indian troops have lodged a strong protest with Pakistan counterparts today.

Indian soldiers retaliated with small arms, he said adding that there was no casuality in the exchange of fire.

Yes bro, your point does explain the BSF point of view, though its to a certain extend only. Thanks for the knowledge as described based on your personal experience. At least I understand why they fired.

Yeah, this thread is starting to degenerate.
Why dont you get lost from here because there is nothing else then flaming that you do

Dude, you guys come to an international forum, and worst insulted on a senior member, by asking him to shut up and get lost?. Remember you are representing your country here regardless of nationality, so be civilized and reply your post in a constructive manner regardless of how "flaming" the post is.

I am sorry on his behalf. Just forget it. He was replying to just as offensive post by the senior member. I don't know why senior members have started to lose their calm these days.

If kids make mistake they can be forgiven, but adults...

I guess all need to control their emotions here. Emotions just blind you. Beyond that all one hears is gibberish. So whats the point of discussion?

Its ok bro, you don't have to be apologize, I guess I should have look at both sides.

Well my point was how could the BSF soldiers do an unprovoke fire on some nearby villages, thus resulting in 2 kids seriously injured
