Also, what would he say, when such attitude is applied in Trinidad & Tobago on Indo-Trinbagonian by Afro-Trinidadians?

If India wants to command a respect in International comity of nations, it must respect the universal values first. We all know India wants to be in the UNSC, but with such attitude a la Swamy it is a big hindrance to begin with. The EU would not concur with India, neither would Canada and OIC block of countries.

Temple serve a different purpose than correct climate change. They are not mutually exclusive.

Till 47, Muslims of both school of thoughts were united, see the leadership of ML for example, there were both Shia and Sunni leaders present in it. Because that was the requirement of the time, we needed to unite for our survival. Not saying that there were not minor sectarian conflicts back then, but nothing serious.

After 47, I can understand if we Pakistanis started thinking more on the sectarian lines, I mean our faith will never be under threat in this land, so why not push for making our school of thought more dominant right.

But why on earth are Indian Muslims dividing themselves when they are a minority and facing an ever growing aggressive hindutva ideology.

The fact of the matter is both school of thoughts have been doing this in the past 10 centuries. They were always ready to work with the enemy to bring each other down even if it is at cost of the ummah as a whole.

Ibn-Al Alqami did it to Baghdad, Mir Jaffar did it to Bengal, Mir Sadiq did it to Tipu. Of course there would have been many other motives for their betrayal, but one factor is common in all of these cases, the rulers were all Sunni and these scheming ministers were all Shia.

Now Shia could also find quite a few names of Sunnis who must have betrayed the Fatimids or other Shia rulers.

The point is our hatred for each other is so deep that we become blind of our collective good. Swamy said it openly so he is being criticized, but in reality this is what has been happening and is a very sound electoral strategy.

That is a very strange policy. I thought most of the Kashatriya converts live on our side of the LOC. You can find quite a few rajputs in AJK. Although I am not a Kashmiri myself, my ancestors moved from Jammu about 300 years ago to present day Rawalpindi district of Pakistan. I am a Minhas, which is a tribe related to Jamwals and has quite a large presence in AJK.

I am curious if there are any Kashatriya converts in your part of Kashmir, I have never heard of Rajput sounding name in Kashmiri leadership or even the fighters. I know there are Brahmin converts who call themselves Sheikh, then there are wanis, lones, Bhat(which we call Butt) but never heard of a Rajput tribe like what we have in AJK where even the PM is a Rajput.

You know how many poor and underprivileged families across those 49 countries get a protein filled diet for a few weeks because of this "barbarity". But then you will not understand the value of proteins, as I am sure a good Hindu like you must be a full time vegetarian.

At least our religious festivals always have a part of charity to it, for example we have to give 1/3 of the meat to poor and 1/3 of the meat to our relatives on Eid ul Adha. We give 2.5% of our wealth to poor in Ramadan, and then each of us have to pay a certain amount as charity before Eid. And if we miss fasting in Ramadan, our religion does not ask us to pay certain amount to a mosque or a cleric, instead we have to feed a certain amount of poor people to make up for our missed rozas.


So each of our festival is based on charity, our Lord wants us to share the blessings he bestowed upon us with those who were not that fortunate.

On the other hand sir, this is what your religious festivals look like.

You are pouring millions of gallons of milk on a rock, while millions and millions of your people sleep on an empty stomach each day.

You build these huge idols for your religious festivals, spending millions of rupees.

And when you are done with your festival, this is what you do with these idols.

And the Bakr-Eid that you mentioned, we don't even waste the hide of the animal, it always goes to charities. And many charities like a cancer hospital in Pakistan is surviving because of these hides.

So if there is any barbarity sir, then that is the wastage of food and money on such festivals, when millions of children are starving in your country.
