What's new

Unironically: Could declaring Sharia Law in Pakistan solve it's insurgency problem?

Sharia law is pretty much part and parcel of our penal code etc. It's just that you gotta enforce a particular jurisprudence over all and sundry with an ethnic twist which may eradicate the terror spree for the time being but then we got two major claimants of the same so nothing much could be done for a cease fire between these two factions . Meanwhile shias and Salfis (yes they too have been targeted by hanafi mob violence multiple times) can get a sigh of relief.

We are grateful to Jinnah for playing a key role in the establishment of Pakistan and being the founder father; but we can't stick rigidly to his opinions which were of the world view of 1947.

We are in 2023, the world is ever-changing and the global dynamics, geopolitics and security situation is constantly evolving.

Our policies be dynamic and change with it accordingly. We must have a solution for the current time's.

Jinnah may have been right in his time, but it doesn't mean he is right in today's time. Policies are dynamic and dependent on the current unique circumstances.

And also nothing sits above Allah's word.
I get surprised some times. People say Islam must change and adapt because we’re in 2023. But same people say keep Jinnah’s 1947 view because his vision is correct.

Drugs are rampant in Kashmir and lot of Kashmiri youth have succumbed to it. There are criminal elements that get weapons, money, training from Pakistan. Just today they caught a teacher with improvised ied who was involved in bombing earlier.

Most of those drugs are smuggled through Indian ports, not through the line of control.

Drugs are rampant across the subcontinent, not just in Kashmir.

You comparison continues to be flawed.

No, a lot of these ttp guys are running criminal enterprises, including the smuggling of opium, as they have been for decades. For them this isn't a religious fight, religion is just a convenient way for them to gain gullible recruits.

Implementation of Shariah is a fruit that these militants are not supposed to eat anyway. It is the job of non combatant Ulema and scholars to work on it. Militants have only one job i.e. to pave the way and make their voice heard. They have done quite much in this regard and if there are criminals amongst them, they'll face the consequences and get the dose of their own medicine. So the thing is, there's genuine demand of Shariah regardless of criminal elements.

However, this had happened and will continue to happen whether we like it or not. Muslims aren't angels, but human beings, and we're susceptible to making errors in judgment and inflicting violence.

There were no fights among the Sahaba (RA) based on interpretations; mainly it was related to administration.
Even Imam Abu Hanifa and his disciples had difference of opinions e.g. their views on the use of personal reasoning (ijtihad) in the interpretation of Islamic law. While Imam Abu Hanifa placed great emphasis on the use of personal reasoning, some of his disciples preferred to rely more on the sayings of the Prophet and his companions.
But they were okay with it and didn't regard it as 'error'.

There were no such fights, nor will be ever. And since we have gone through that phase, have developed institutional mindset - especially in Pakistan where there's strong belief in unity of command, there's no chance of civil disturbance.

It is safe to have units based on different schools of thought.

BSF and some other Army Corps are the distributors.

in Pakistan it is the police who do it purely for money

in india it is their army (they use as some kinda pacifying weapon and they make money too)

Today, in Pakistan, the issue of the day isn't our leaders knocking each other out, but rather, colluding with outside entities in various ways to serve their selfish interests. Every actor in Pakistan, from the parties to the institutions to the TTP has a foreign hand. So, the problem we have is that we don't even have real leadership, much less Islamic or otherwise.

India don't want to destroy Pakistan. In fact India knew the true nature of Pakistani establishment much earlier than us. It knew that Pakistani establishment is not only harmful for India but for the region. So India just took balancing actions.

But there is a country thousands of miles away. Takes keen interest in Pakistan's internal affairs and wants the head of state of it's own choice.

How can these two be the same?

Rename the country to Indus and own our history and IVC legacy, become secular, become 1st world developed, nuke Afghanistan, morally and aesthetically mog India into oblivion. Become the hub of South Asia and become the go to destination in the region.

You can't tell me this isn't a Pajeet troll trying to suck his own dìck

The establishment is not a "danger" to the region, it's just corrupt to the core and wants to fill it's own pockets.

At most it is a danger to the people of Pakistan who try to call out it's corruption and take back control, but the region? 🤡

Brotha, please stop this foolery

India is essentially named after Indus already.

The name will remain Pakistan. We need to address the institutional foundation to fix the country.

A drug addict first sells his own property and then steals the other's. One who can sell one's own mother, won't hesitate to sell the other's.
