It was never a deficiency of courage, bordering on bravado, never a deficiency of optimism, bordering on recklessness. During the period that the two countries interacted, there was a period at the outset, when Pakistan was militarily an equal, even, in some respects, ahead; economically, too, she had her golden hour. Since that period, the equation had steadily, inexorably changed. What we see today is a different picture. It is not a pretty picture, from the Pakistani point of view. The courage, the optimism remain intact; the grim reality is that the two countries have diverged significantly.

And you think India wants peace? It does not. We always must strive for peace and thus Sharif's proposals are mature. But the proposals for whom they are meant is not mature enough to understand.

India is a country that is always looking to undermine Pakistan.

While we strive for peace we should not let our guard down against enemy's conspiracies.

Raising voice internationally against India's involvement in terror in Pakistan must also be done at the same time as proposing steps towards lasting peace.

It is true that immature Indian leadership sought to undermine Pakistan several times in the past. One can think about the extreme provocation of shooting at thousands of peacekeepers in Baramula in October 1947, who were rudely interrupted in the middle of their rest-and-recreation cycle by bullets. Then there was the inhospitable and rude reception given to a number of empowered delegates whimsically named Gibraltar Force in 1965, not to mention inexplicable traffic blocks placed against a road testing team at Chhamb which was trying to test the road surfaces on the Jammu-Srinagar road. It is distressing to note that shots were fired at the highway engineers.

actually his thoughts, do represent India. Pakistan will be the last country India will trust to. If ever both Osama and Pakistan wanted a gun from India with 2 bullets in it, India would have trusted Osama....twice. A country which attacked another state, within few years of its independance, a country which backtracks from agreements signed by its govts, its funny that country asks for trust.
