Under global attacks of US, Huawei’s total sales still surged 39% in the first quarter of 2019

According to a report by the Financial Times on April 22, Huawei’s report showed that Huawei’s total sales in the first quarter of this year increased by 39% year-on-year to reach 177.9 billion yuan. Although the United States tried to persuade countries to ban their 5G networks from using Huawei devices, the data showed that Huawei was not frustrated.
The report pointed out that Washington has been trying to prevent Huawei from the security risks of equipment, but only partially succeeded: several European countries began to take back the initial tough stance, while Australia and Canada joined the US boycott of Huawei equipment.
However, the quarterly results released on Monday showed that Huawei’s financial situation was minimally affected. Huawei said that the quarterly increase in total sales was much higher than the 19.5% annual increase last year, while the net profit of around 8% was slightly higher than the same period last year.
According to the report, Huawei said that by the end of March, the company had delivered more than 70,000 base stations and 59 million smartphones to customers around the world. Last year, Huawei surpassed Apple and became the world's second-largest smartphone supplier. Today, Samsung, the industry leader from South Korea, is seen as the next target.

据英国金融时报4月22日报道，华为公布的报告显示，今年第一季度华为的总销售额同比增长了39%，达到了1797亿元人民币。尽管美国试图说服各国禁止其5G网络使用华为设备，但数据显示华为并未因此受挫。
报道指出，华盛顿一直试图以设备具有安全风险为由阻止华为，但只取得了部分成功：几个欧洲国家开始收回最初的强硬立场，而澳大利亚和加拿大加入到了美国对华为设备的抵制。
不过，周一公布的季度业绩显示，华为财务状况因此受到的影响微乎其微。华为表示，总销售额季度增幅远高于去年19.5%的年度增幅，而8%左右的净利润也略高于去年同期。
报道称，华为表示，截至3月底，该公司已向全球客户交付了7万多个基站和5900万部智能手机。去年，华为超越苹果(Apple)，成为了全球第二大智能手机供应商，如今又将来自韩国的行业领军企业三星(Samsung)看成是下一个目标。
